  1. Shipping voucher from buycycle for R75. Got the seller to take it to cycle lab Capetown, they inspected the frame before I paid the seller they then charged me R50 to box it and who ever buy cycle used collected it and dropped it off at my office a few days later.
  2. I fell in love when I rode my stumpjumper for the first time, provided its an old frame and a bit shy on travel with only 120mm, she gets thrown down some mild DH tracks and I treat her as an AM bike! If you can get your hands on a 26" stumpy (newer than mine with more travel) I would say go for it. I can only imagine how much more awesome a 26" enduro would be tho!
  3. Now that some time has passed since the event I am starting to feel all my muscles took a beating, more than in the last 50km xc race I did! Provided I did eat it twice and "ran" atleast half of stage 4 with my bike on my shoulder...
  4. Totally with you! Enduro riding and vibes beat the xc we are used to hands down! Should we not take it upon ourselves, find a spot or two and get together with the right people to get some events together to follow in the foot steps of the enduro at Giba this weekend?
  5. Pulled out my puppy dog face and the dude thought my day was bad enough so he let me off the hook! Was pretty stoked, I didnt see hat coming hahaha! My boets lady took some pics of my pretzel, i will post them when i get them
  6. Bounced off a rock and a tree ran accross the trail!!!
  7. Nothing like free beer that you didn't have to fetch yourself after a rough day on the trails! Thanks dude! I hope to see another Giba enduro sometime soon. I will make the trip down again for sure! Expensive day out for me! Front rim - K.O. Bell helmet - K.O. Wireless Cateye - MIA after the first rim spill. GOOD TIMES
  8. Banger of a day dudes! Thanks Mr Hicks for all the hard work you put in! Where can we find pics? Especially the one with my pretzel wheel still had an awesome time today! Better luck next enduro
  9. Haha! Super keen for tomorrow! You can see allot of work has gone into the trails and event.
  10. Good job taping dude! We were got up to the start of stage two for our last run of the day and the sun disappeared! Had a slow but crazy fun run in the dark haha! Oh and by the way bro, do you know that your one sign is broken
  11. Haha that dude cracks me up! cool show!
  12. I have looked over the edge while driving through there before and thought "Man! there must be some pretty awesome DH sections." Even the old pass looks like it could be fun!
  13. Do we need our Roag number boards by any chance or just the AMA rider tags from reg?
  14. What happened to joining us on Friday? I will be riding with my Durban mates (untimed bits) during the stages it's every man for him self! Should be a group of around 5 of us awesome people. Beer and burgers after at Giba Cafe
  15. I know there definitely two of us going down to Giba. Haha
  16. They were actually more expensive than Nespresso pods, I would love my money back problem is that I used half of them thinking "maybe I need to change water quantities or something". They were the first pods I tried so only when I went to the Nespresso store a few days later I realized how crap the ethical coffee was:(
  17. Will be on the trails as early as possible and for as long as possible, would be awesome if you brought your bike with and joined us for a run or 5 between taping
  18. Its race week bother mitchers!!!!
  19. Compared to the Nespresso pods they taste pretty crap, I did only try two of their pods so maybe I was a little unfair to say they suck. Trying the original nespresso pods I just feel that ethical coffee pods are not in the same league. It also seemed as if the lever/cover on the machine was harder to close with ethical pods
  20. I wanted to this year but chose to redo the "Hill1Hill" with the mates to make up for last years triathlon. Had my brake calipers off from 15km in and cable tied to the bike because they were "binding". Rode as much as possible, ran the down hills and swam the river crossing
  21. For those of you that have a nespresso machine and are thinking of trying "ethical pods"... DON'T! They suck!
  22. Did last year and will be back this year, I need to reclaim my name by beating my time of 6h21m for the 45km ????
  23. Just a quick question for the Nespresso lovers. I have bought a second hand Nespresso Essenza, I am now experimenting with how much espresso vs how much milk makes an awesome cup of coffee and I see you can program the machine as to how many ml of coffee is made when you push the button. Is the factory setting good enough or should I fiddle with this to get the most out of each pod? Cheers!
  24. Awesome! Just trying to squeeze in as many practice runs for us JHB people.
