Yeah, I am very keen on the train. I am a bit sceptical of the change overs though as I will have two change overs, not sure about doing this with my bike and kit... Edit: Time wise, it looks like I would spend most of the day on the 17th on the train, spend the night in Geneva and look for something to do while I wait for you guys.

I will be leaving SA on the 10th of July for the U.K. , from there I will meet you guys in Geneva on the 18th (still deciding if I should fly or take the scenic route and catch a train, nice 10 hour train ride).

Give Lynwood a call, I'm sure they could order you a 29 slaughter. Sounded like they can when I spoke to them today. From what I understood the butcher and slaughter should be available from today. I would steer clear of the mountain king, following a mate of mine at giba last week and saw him loose the front three times in about an hour. We weren't pushing hard.

27.5x2.3" Edit: I have been contemplating going xking front and back for the Kzn series. Shouldn't be any hectic terrain and they are fast rolling.

I have used a xking on the front before, it was actually pretty awesome for most of the #enduro trails we ride in SA. Ordered one from Lynwood cyclery today. eta is one week.

Anyone tried the specialized butcher and slaughter yet?

Guys I know that have tried the mountain king have hated them. You might want to look at the trail king. Personally I would just go xking 2.4 front and back.
