  1. Someting like this If the club would be ok with it, I am happy to install some boards on Flow Terra to make to gap jumps "learnable"
  2. We put a plank up in Majick years ago at one of the gaps...it was a WIDE plank and helped a few of us to learn the clear that gap....then one does not ride for a while and when you come back you could at least use the plank/board to build confidence again. Kids went and detroyed our build
  3. Patrick said they closed the XCO line due to the 10 + accidents they had there while training so it was only opened for Pro's. Male and female. My problem is "progression" put some planks on the gaps so it is not all or nothing. I jumped that gap at Lombaards, ONCE, took a while to healup again. Now where do I get confidence again.....go to jump park and jump the table tops then when I "try" the gap and miss....hospital again?
  4. Fully agree.....flow terra is going to waste...put some planks there and make it table and more can ride it while we learn to jump it. At least it will get used, atm only a handfull and I am going to say less than 5% of the club can ride it.
  5. I will look again, but like I said why not put PLANKS so you can hear when you dont make it. Like at the Lombaards track, there are LOTS of gaps that more people can ride and that will help keeping the track nice and bedded down also, and give us the opertunity to learn to jump them Take that big jump on Lombaards, why not put a plank there, just below the take off and about 1.5" below landing lip....like a safety net?
  6. Interesting that the XCO trail could only be ridden by the pro's ? So why does the club spend so much time on build technical trails and then only yher Pro's and mabye a handfull of 150mm travel bikes can ride it when the 90% of the members ride 100mm bikes and do not have that skill Then again, why don't they build stuff where one can progress? The "skills" park is a jump park not skills Gap jump are everywhere, but if you dont make it you go to hospital.....Why not make table tops then we can all learn to clear them and put a plank there so when I do not clear them I dont spend time in hospital I can go traight back and try again and again. Even at the "skills" park there are GAP jumps not a jump with a plank??
  7. Yes I think the Akira is a Honda clone so will it be unleaded ptrol then?
  8. Normal as in Lead replacement or unleaded? Seems Akira is a rebranded china made gen. so not much online
  9. Does anyone know the Akira 6500 series generator and what type of oil and petrol does it take Got one from my dad (after he passed away) and i dont have the manual also can not find any docs online ....
  10. Put on a new chain and see if it slips, if not then ride it if it does change casette
  11. How would it wear evenly when there is nothing touching the outside? And the inside is used for shiffting?
  12. Did you see that Karma opened the can, not me?
  13. I never said that .... But cyclist behaviour DOES influence how drivers see us Here is an excample, the moment I see a Taxi I make sure he can not push in, overtake me etc etc and that is before he even did anything wrong and just because OTHER Taxis drive like idiots.
  14. Seriously ? Skipping a red light and stop street is pretty obvious. I see cyclist breaking the law on my commute DAILY so the chance is very good that the motorist feels like that. I have also had people tell me at work that cyclist are worse than taxis....that NONE obey the laws. What must I say then ? "but YOU text and drive"? How stupid would that bad. I answer with unfortunately you are right MOST cyclist ride like D1cks
  15. Clearly you were typing this while driving.... No capital letter etc.
  16. And so should the other well KNOW pro's and cyclist that were with him.
  17. I disagree, I have asked a Driver to give at least 1m and not pass so close and this was his response " You cyclist dont give F****about road rules so F*** your 1,5M bullsh1t"
  18. WITH your logic, F1 Drivers can speed on our roads because they are pros' and know a thing or two?
  19. So when you are young you are allowed to be reckless? With that logic, is drunk driving ok as long as you are young and reckless? EDIT: Spellcheck
  20. Will do same here, embarrassing at best. But on my next commute when I car brushes my elbow I can assume the driver saw this video and decided ALL cyclist acts like this and not care about my safety
  21. Agreed, lets P155 off as many motorists as we can ..... Edit: Looks like they were breaking the law more than just 3:29
  22. They used a socket to pull the bearing out or to rest the pivot on and then hammer from the other side the socket has some sharp edges that cause that. Look at the section I circled in BLUE and you can see the line where the socket pressed. The sharp edges took the paint off circled in The most likely problem creator
  23. Even if the bearing was corroded or seized it will not result in this. This damage is when someone uses a puller and do not protect the frame with rubber or piece of wood. For my frame I took a piece of wood and made a hole in it the same shape as the part that I put on it and then I can push / pull or even hammer the bearing out. I have seen this happen when you put a socket against the frame and then pull the bearing out
  24. Please let me know once you know, as I have some also and CPT also
  25. if he was truely retired why is he riding those races ?
