  1. maybe he is not prepared to lie and hence has resoundingly STFU about it
  2. From a racing perspective it matters - is an explanation really necessary? By applying this to all teams it feels to me like they're basically taking DC out of the racing calendar and positioning themselves as something more social.
  3. US doping pioneer Lyle Alzado's experience with roids and HGH http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lyle_Alzado
  4. 'white van man' - the UK cyclist's equivalent of the minibus taxi
  5. I'm interested to hear from Evans. Nothing yet which is worrying. He seems nice enough, but I'm less worried about his income than the future of the sport. I suspect he'll be fine income-wise.
  6. Here's the post from the Clinic which mentions that it's in the Secret Race. Actually I'm reading it now but haven't found that part yet. http://forum.cyclingnews.com/showthread.php?t=19280&page=6#edit1074910 Hincape testified that LA told him he quit the HGH after his cancer. http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2012/oct/10/lance-armstrong-doping-case-live If doping did cause his illness there is of course no way to prove this, and if so, then the steroids could easily have had a role in it as well. All I'm saying is, he got it, only he knows what he did pre-cancer, and he had his own suspicions. We also know from sworn testimony that he kept taking testosterone post-cancer. Another poster mentioned cortisone. Here's a link describing later complications for one of LA's teammates on the US junior national team where the rider pins his medical problems on organised doping managed by the coach. http://www.cbsnews.com/2100-500164_162-284958.html - pretty nasty. Another one of these junior teammates also developed testicular cancer.
  7. Is it just me or is this the end of racing the DC? A time trial with a free half hour tea-break is no longer a time trial.
  8. 15 years as a pro-cyclist on the pro-tour circuit and you never noticed anything untoward. Now I like Jens as much as the next guy, but that's like saying you spent 15 years on the rave circuit but never got offered a spliff or noticed the punters were outside the spectrum of normal endorphin levels.
  9. Why not apply for a TUE from drug free sport, then come back here and tell us how it went.
  10. Cyclist .. with ... right .. of .. way ..? Does .. not ... compute ... x_x
  11. Yes, the gym rats probably have it right, they are always a reliable guideline on what is safe to take, as well as the appropriate dose. My advice : take what they're having, but up the dosage to about 200% of that and see how you get on. All the best.
  12. DG obviously thought so, and his were free
  13. Armstrong confided to several people that HGH likely contributed to his testicular cancer. This is cited in Hamilton's book and elsewhere. No doubt he overdid it when quite young, but all the same, unless you have the cash to pay for top-notch medical advice, and perhaps even then, it's seems like a dangerous road to go down.
  14. Plenty more here: http://forum.cyclingnews.com/showthread.php?t=19280
  15. The jury is out (and leaning towards a judgement of profiteering against makers and ATOC sponsors Amgen) on the effectiveness and safety of EPO as a cancer treatment. http://www.hemodoc.com/2011/12/epo-lighting-the-fires-of-cancer.html
  16. Another knee to the groin for USN Vo2Max tablets
  17. To all the geniuses fellow riders reading this and thinking about getting their first sub-3 with a little bit of help, I've heard that cyanide is excellent for boosting lung capacity. Best taken in large doses during motor-pacing sessions.
  18. If you have a TUE for something you can go ahead and use it. But just getting older is probably not going to get you a TUE.. because everybody is getting older and if they hand them out for that then they'd have to basically take it off the list :/
  19. It seems obvious to say it but your post is empty and meaningless. WhoTF is this 'they' that you so confidently refer to?
  20. and what do you feel for all the guys who came second at SA's and the Giro? Whose sponsorship money went to DG's pharmacist?
  21. you my friend are a grade A clown
  22. ..except DG was not part of a conspiracy to fix bike races, he knew what he was doing and Evans has been riding him into the ground for long enough for the reasons to be entirely self-centered.
  23. Based on this report http://www.cyclingnews.com/features/armstrongs-fraud-paralleled-epo-makers-feud and this thread http://forum.cyclingnews.com/showthread.php?t=19280 it looks like Amgen have been totally fine with people smashing huge doses of their product for whatever purpose they like. Very interesting to read this - follow the money and you end up back at US Postal

  25. Yep, many will say this has been a long time coming.
