Listen to Kranswurm, his logic is the most simple. Allen key goes on inside of pedal (frame-side of crankarm). Most pedals have allen key head there.

My money is on flower power for friday.

There are ways around those steep downhill sections if they are the ones I am thinking of. Only safe way down them is no brakes, especially with it so loose and dusty now. Better option is to go around. I am keen for this sunday if it's happening again. Anybody keen to ride weekdays PM me.

Sorry I missed it, but I did some great rides in the Cederberg, including a new one on private property. Getting to know some of the local farmers, they are usually quite happy to let me ride on their land as long as I ask nicely. When is the next Helderberg hub ride? I am keen to join, I see you guys rode some of the spots where I ride regularly. Great spot, and right on our doorstep!

I am definately keen for the next one guys. Been riding on the Helderberg for about a year and still manage to find new ways up and down. Was shown another few road by a friend yesterday. Let me know how monday's ride goes!

Damn, a hub ride missed for me! Going to the Cederberg for the weekend so I will ride there though. If you guys are keen let's make this a regular thing, I ride on the Helderberg often so maybe I know some trails that you don't (or vice versa!). Slowbee, don't stress about the steep climbs, they are short!

Something doesn't ring true with your story Magoo. Why would you put a sticky sachet in your pocket before even starting a ride? I would find a bin to put it in so that I don't start the ride with a sticky pocket. You also prefer not to have the sticky mess in your pocket, but perhaps walking to a bin is too much effort before your ride.
