  7. Do you use the Polar cycle computer or the heart rate monitor (wrist watch)? I believe that the cycle computer is a bit more prone to interference from power lines and passing truck's 2-way radios.

  11. A huge group of people meet at the corner of Swartkoppies & Klipriver road (Xumbug corner, as most refer to as) both Saturday and Sunday mornings and leave at 7:00. Different smaller groups then quickly form, based on different fitness levels and so on. Distances can vary from 50km to 150km, so make sure you are riding with the right guys (just ask around who is doing what). Everyone tends to be very friendly. Just like elsewhere in Joburg, rather not ride alone, especially on the Lido route going out towards the cow-farm, as that is where most the "hold-ups" occur.
