Spoke to a Dr. up in Louis Trichardt a while back, when I had the flu again. He did some work in the US and UK and told me very same thing. He says in a healthy individual there is nothing you can take (vits & minerals etc.) to prevent an infection. It comes down to your body being able to fight and kill the virus. But...what improves your general health? Vitamins...minerals...exercise?

Anyone getting the flu/cold like symptoms after hammering yourself to the max? Happens to me way too often. What to do to prevent it?

Is there a way to map/create your routes on Google Maps / Earth while you ride? I have done this by hand on Google Maps. There are a bunch of other apps like Runtastic, Endomondo & Runtastic Mountainbike (apps relate to smart phones) that track the route on Google while you ride but how do you get these routes on your Google account to then share / export them without going and mapping them again by hand?

Forgot to add; unless you have some kind of sentimental value and want to keep it for that reason or maybe do the upgrades as a project...

I agree. It’s not worth spending your money to upgrade. The price of components will be beyond a completed new/newer bike.

Can you imagine Volvo bringing out a MTB...with auto brake feature!!!

Dude please explain how you came about the saddle and handle bars? I want!!!!!

I am actually considering the same thing, basically doing my day to day traveling in town only by bike and using the cars only for long distance or transporting things that cant fit on the bike, like children!!

Using Stans, no mess... I have taken the tires off to re-aline the logos on the tires as well... replaced one valve after riding, replaced the sealant...only a smooth lining of white film with small white particles when it dried after I removed the tire remain... - Schwalbe Racing Ralph Snakeskin tires - Giant XC rims converted to tubeless

If you can’t get Stans to work for you then maybe settle for Perma Tubes. The consistency is quite thick, no maintenance and you’ll never have a flat again. I used them when I was 6 and it worked, a lot of drag though but nothing gets the heart racing quite like they do!
