  1. RIP very sad news
  2. Thanks all that was the machine I was looking at! Also seemed a fair price to me.
  3. 2013 La Marzocco GS3.
  4. What would a 2013 second hand GS3 in good condition be worth? Or what should I consider paying for one? Haven’t seen many for sale before and am seriously tempted. I see new they are in mid 80’s. Thanks
  5. I am ready to graduate from my aeropress and hand grinder to a manual espresso machine and grinder machine. I am over my SMEG auto machine and am keen on mastering the manual brewing process. Where can I buy a second hand Oscar or Rocket or similar level machine - not much on Gumtree. Any ideas of where to look or visit?
  6. Tragic. RIP. Hopefully there will be a prosecution.
  7. Congrats guys on a fantastic initiative. I look forward to riding the trails and in time weaving some longer routes together. Have you considered a membership option for part time residents or regulars in the valley? I am sure many would be happy to pay an annual fee which may help a bit with funding?
  8. seems to be sorted now? I entered no problem.
  9. worth doing - although getting an Epic entry may not be a prize for me
  10. Whats a reasonable expected time for H batch?
  11. I tried the Xkings recently. The 2.2 protection was very narrow which I didn't like and the tyre compound felt hard and unforgiving. Was grippy in a straight line but bounced around too much in rocky areas and didn't feel sure footed in the narrow version. I see a lot of guys ride the 2.4 version which is probably the same as a 2.25 normal tyre. Fitted 2.25 RR now and much happier.
  12. Very sad to hear. RIP.
  13. That is Argus spirit. Well done Wesley

Will do. I could tell a cyclist was behind the planning. Some nice touches.

I can recommend the Cullinan. One of the reasons we keep coming back for the ride and the weekend. Looking forward to the early bird specials.
  16. Sorry TPI!
  17. Has anyone tried these tyres and what is the feedback? Do they work on both front and rear? I see they come in 120 and 60 psi - apparently the 60 psi is tougher and recommended on the back. I like the look of the tread and am told weight is comparable to Racing Ralph's so wondering whether to try them? Predominately riding like Sani2C. Thanks.
  18. Gobi is a great saddle. Good mix between padded and light weight. Most stores have Fizik demo saddles. Try one first.
  19. Wheels for sure. Much bigger gain in speed.
  20. I have been very happy since switching over. Not sure on all the rolling resistance theories. But I am certainly not slower. And I feel more confident descending. Since I don't ride my road bike much other than a few races a year it suits me fine. I have the gatorskins. There is a little tread there but not much.
  21. Enjoy the ride! Sad I am missing it....
  22. I have the fourstroke which I am very happy with. It is XC focused with some trail ability. I have a Yeti ASR5C as well and still am happy to ride the BMC at Giba. It's frame is very light - the lightest of this bunch I am sure. Its weight won me over - I enjoy climbing on her at 10.2kgs. Have ridden the Santa Cruz too and was impressed - a descenders bike for sure. Watched my mate fly down the Berg and Bush trails this weekend on it.
  23. This all sounds very scary. Is this race tougher than Sani? I am feeling very undertrained.

That wind and cold was hectic. Much tougher than other years.
