  1. might need some stuff
  2. The S-Works shoe is micro adjustable so you can get a much more accurate fit, there is also a lot more ventilation that may cool your feet and help with foot pain. Have you tried the different inner soles to suit your arch? I found the ++ models have a bigger metatarsel button and prevent my feet from getting numb. The S-Works are lighter too and have a stiffer sole which will help in power transfer. Best shoe on the market IMO
  3. It should be great until Chapmans peak where all hell breaks loose, weather permitting it's either fun or completly savage. Having done two years in $ now. You cannot rest for a minute. Drift to the back for a casual fart at the wrong time and you're heading for Greenpoint alone.
  4. Apparently VA ia starting with Elites $ and U23's so it will be faster. A Group race only for time but the snakes in the racing bunches will be faster overall even after some tactics hold us up.
  5. Glad I could provide a demo Andre!
  6. It's called a mushroom plug. We use em all the time
  7. I have the 404 firecrest tubbies and they are unreal in the wind, better than the old 404 and as aero as my torroidal 303's were in the sidewinds. i have ridden them in gusting 40kmph winds around Cape Point and they move a little but not enough to leave them at home. I did a back to back test with a 50mm v-shape wheel and Andre Traut will confirm even though they Zipp is a 58mm they were still less affected than the shallower rim. I dont care what the wind is doing, I take out my 404 FC's every time and never worry.

  9. Probly why they come with a cassette frisbee and reflectors too, so real cyclists can spot a thief and stop them if they bring their own pedals
  10. Put yourself in their shoes: Look I got this helmet and it just fell apart when I picked it up, honest... Imagine the stories they hear.
  11. So you got a helmet from another country, which never came throught the specialized importer but yet you expect them to happily hand over a replacement with no invoice or anything? I dont think you want customer service... more like a bent over rogering... you're asking a lot, and I dont know of any importers that would do this. I think your best bet is to claim from the shipping insurance.
  12. A big break went on lap one when a huge dead wheel gap opened on turn three in the crosswind, darren rode accross. The break was about 10 strong and then slowly filtered down to just 4, Theun clipped a wheel and went down on the last corner with a lap to go. Needless to say I was caught out in the split, missed the break and spent all night chasing. Darren was in the break driving all night and I think he just opened a gap so he didnt have to sprint on the last lap. Boyd and David had a sprint and the result was a few millimeteres apart.
  13. Rules #1) Help your wife put her bike on the car. #2) instruct her on how to remove it and refit it to come home. #3) wave goodbye and wish her a merry ride #4) Go on your own ride where you may concentrate on bleeding from every pore in silence #5) nevermention her attire, form, skill level or lack of it
  14. Ya I debuted my insurance for a new 404 front wheel too... crap happens
  15. Yeah although with not much wind it seems like a good day to sit and do nothing ho-humming in the bunch.
  16. Damn straight it's happening
  17. I have a toupe on my road bike and a Romin on my MTB. I also have a romin on my TT bike but I cannot get comfortable with it and will try a toupe on the TT bike. I used the Toupe on my Venge in TT mode and had no issues.
  18. I may have missed it but is your chain: a) Going over the top of the big ring b )Falling into the BB area these are different fixes, NINER_ Boy suggested a fix for option b ) I would add that the limit needs to be slightly lower than just off rubbing when in the biggest cog maybe 3mm, then use cable tension to adjust it closer so that it ends in the 1mm from rub position. This I have found uses the cable tension even on release to slow down the "slap" when the chain gets derailed. for Option a) it's a combination of limit, chain tension and Front derailer height. You may need to drop the FD to make sure the chain cannot creep underneath it. Then set the limit to make sure it's locked. Correct chain tension and riding in a bigger cog (not the 11) downhill will keep the RD tought and reduce slap and chain slop so that it doesnt fall off.
  19. Sora Tiagra 105 Ultegra Rival Dura Ace Force Red There fixed it
  20. Yes very Suspicious...I also believe that there was an empty Zipp container that arrived/didnt arrive...ah forget it.
  21. Good turnout last night...peeps must have been missing there mid week murder session.
  22. I'm looking forward to a nice gentle cruise around the race track tonight, it should be an hour of pure bliss... not
  23. Quite and Quiet: another catastrophe. Avid breaks quiet alot....but less than campagnola There, I made myself throw up too.
  24. Could be a finish time within a percentage of the winners time? That would give an erratic number of people.
