Its all a business decision. the directors werent making the money the expected. Rocky is a niche brand being handbuilt in Canada( only certain models from 2009. This made the bikes more expensive and hard to compete with the local market. So the guys decided. to cut there losses. the recession did'nt help In My opinion importrs were a bit impatient but I do under the circumstances its understandable

rocky is not being imported into SA at this stage. Backup will be available on frame warranties internationally. It will not be any slower than when they were imported. If you have your duck in a row everything will run smoothly. I have spoken to pablo. The distributor is not completely closed down yet however.

I did my stocking up on them during the epic. . using them selectively. they are awesome

Sram- Red force Rival Shimano - Dura ace Ultegra 105 In my opinion the rival is in between ultegra and 105

go with sram different from shimano but much nicer

thanks splat I would like the wheels to weigh around 1.6kg the arch looks nice. there is just something that scares me about the stans beadshape and I ride my tires 2.8 bar/40psi too close to the stans limit for me.

Just bought myself a nice set of hope hubs, Nowi need t decide on the rims Would like a nice set of white ones but not a definte the stans rims look a bit flimsy, I would like a nice and strong rim that can handle it if I become airborne every now and then. I weigh 63kg and mostly XC riding I ride tubes so looking at sunringle EQ23 Mavice xc 717 DT 4.2d any other ideas?suggestions?

S725X is one of the nicer models price wise I have the old S710 been usung it for the past 7 years paid R3000 for it back in 2002

I ride my bike setup a Little higher in my road then my MTB but you knees will telll you quickly when something is not right.

MTB or road? 25 degree knee angle for road 30 for MTB if you can get someone to measure it for you.;emond as wll as 0.883 is a bit high for my liking. what length is your crank arms?
