  1. 2km up and down the driveway yesterday, and 2km around the back yard today with the trail shoes on. Going to aim for 5km up and down the driveway tomorrow. Our backyard isn't very big, so I lost interest after 2km.
  2. A few Lockdown specials here: https://sagamer.co.za/2020/03/27/lockdown-with-some-juicy-sales
  3. I can agree with that, hence why I haven't done any upgrades to my current rig which I got in 2013. If I was single and if I didn't have a child, I would probably have a 2013 rig and either a PS4 or Xbox One. It's only because my wife and I started a family did I purchase a Switch, however there are a few games that I hope one day will make it to the Switch - like a CoD or GTA or Need for Speed title would be nice.

  9. More often than not, I see load shedding as an excuse to braai, especially on weekends. Braaied on Friday night, and braaing again a bit later today.
  10. I would say go the Nintendo route then. There are games available for the Switch that are aimed at a more mature audience, but generally I think Nintendo is more family friendly.
  11. How much are you willing to spend, Slowbee? Nintendo Switch Lite is going for R3,999 https://raru.co.za/video-games/brand/3506-nintendo-switch-games-hardware-accessories Nintendo 2DS XL is going for R3,777 https://raru.co.za/video-games/brand/754-nintendo-3ds Or you could pick up a second hand PSP, also discontinued like the Vita, although I think it has a bit of a better games library: https://www.gamespot.com/forums/playstation-nation-1000002/which-was-better-ps-vita-or-psp-33360322/

  17. Bought a pair of running tekkies a few years ago, went for a few runs in them and the shins started to pain. Went to a Chiropractor, and he suggested that I stop running, and rather go back to cycling and start swimming, so I sold the tekkies. A bit later on, I bought another pair of running tekkies, with the idea that I would slowly get back into running. Better suited shoes for my feet, although after a while, the shins started to play up again - could've been caused from pushing myself too hard during my runs. Went to a different Chiropractor, and he suggested I take it easy with the running, and that I should start the 'couch to 5k' program as a start. I didn't stick to the 'couch to 5k', but have been going for the odd runs now and then - taking it easy, more like run/walks. Here's an article I just found on the matter: https://www.runnersworld.co.za/health/the-best-ways-to-treat-prevent-shin-splints/
