  2. I've had this happen quite a few times already. It really grates me when you can hear the car speed up to overtake you only to suddenly, and sometimes without indicating, turn left and cut you off. Every time this happens I am so tempted to just kick a dent into the car, but I know that won't really help other than making me feel better in some way.
  3. Yesterday morning after having a shower post commute, my belt fell on the floor as I took it out my bag and the buckle broke into a couple pieces. No fixing it Macgyver style either Walked around the whole day yesterday pulling my pants up, was rather frustrating. No HRM strap to use because that stopped working a couple weeks back already
  4. I usually just end up putting my wet clothes into my bag, and then putting them on wet in the afternoon. If it has stopped raining they'll dry on the way home. If it's raining then I'm wet already
  5. hahahahahaha that was funny. I've seen most of those Uni bails before, but they are still funny :-)
  6. I've been streaming music for a while now, to lazy to schlepp my hard drives to work to listen to my music. Being an 80's kid I really love this radio station ... http://somafm.com/u80s/ SomaFM has a bunch of eclectic stations So far this morning I've heard ... Kim Wylde Ultravox Depeche Mode Big Pig A-Ha ....
  7. lol ... yup ... a very pink one I did end up leading with my right shoulder, more out of instinct than anything else, which did connect and probably stopped me from going over the handle bars. lol ... you could be onto something there. Actually walking down the road with the front wheel in the air I did wish that it was a unicycle so that I could carry on riding.
  8. Yeah, thanks guys. Other than the totaled wheel, nothing much else damaged thankfully. I landed on my feet in this whole process, my unicycle bailing skills really helping out (aka. skills learnt while bailing off my unicycle) .However the pins on my pedals did take some skin off my left knee. Getting a new wheel hopefully today, or very early next week. I was going to do a training ride for the Argus this weekend, guess I'll carbo-load on some beers and have a good braai instead.
  9. My commute home yesterday was very abruptly cut short by a pedestrian who decided that running across the traffic was a great idea. Braking as hard as I could I could not stop in time. The lady in question was clearly as tough as a buffalo as she promptly got up, dusted herself off and ran off ?? I was still standing there my bike still in the road and she was gone. The front rim snapped, wheel is totaled .. 1 week to go to the Argus
