  4. Thanks for the links From them I've managed to get Mamba, Boomslang, Snake Eyes, Vasbyt, Downhill 4, My Roots, and Faerie Garden. Already had Cobra, and the Bridal Path. Now to get Boulders, Downhill 1, those below Downhill 1, and Lizard. JohnnyReggae2009-01-06 03:30:43
  5. Have ridden in Eden. There was some stuff there, but mostly flowing stuff besides the NorthShore drops. Spoke to Chris about the JH stuff, apparently it also flows a lot and is a very fast single track, not quite what I'm looking for. Have also done the Bridal path in Tokai, again not very technical. There is a slightly tricky piece near the beginning between the 1st and 2nd swith-backs, but that's about it... besides the switch-backs themselves. There is some very tricky technical stuff below Downhill 1. There are 2 trails and both are very technical. The first goes off to the right and comes out at Lizard, then 2nd goes straight down and eventually comes out on a very steep drop onto the jeep track on the same level as Lizard, just a little further up.
  6. Will definitely give you a shout. 2 of us made the trip out there a short while ago to do the Tygerberg MTB fun ride which went through the Majik Forest twice. Was a little disappointed as I was expecting some good technical stuff so I took my 24" MUni along. Next time I'll take my 29'er along rather as the trail flows quite a lot which the 29'er will just eat up

  9. This is the 2nd video of the very first Unicycling Convention in South Africa which was held over the weekend of 21-23 November 2008. Attended by guys from Cape Town, Johannesburg, Pretoria, and France. It was an awesome weekend !! This video is not as action packed as the first one Ruan did, but has a more relaxed feel . Would appreciate any comments. Cheers http://www.vimeo.com/2491919
  10. Occasionally I get a sore shoulder after some violent waving of an arm after taking some hectic drops ... and yeah... I think we're friendly
  11. Thanks man !! Yup the footage in this video is mostly from Tokai. We spend the weekend in Elgin and found very little single track to ride so decided to head back to Cape Town on the Sunday afternoon to go for a ride in Tokai rather. We ended up going back the Monday evening again. There is still a load more video footage to go through. Ruan has a lot to get through from his video camera, and I got hold of the video footage last night from the other video camera. So there will be more on the way

  13. That's not good news at all Thanks for the heads-up
  14. But.... I could have sworn it .... uumm ... maybe not ....
  15. I get the same kind of response riding on my Unicycle. The MTB riders always greet and some even stop to chat to find out more about MUni. The road guys and just people out on the road in general don't greet much if at all, and a lot sort of stare at me as to say "WTF!!", and not in a good way either. Then again I don't really care cos I spend most of my riding time off-road in the forest
  16. Saw a fairly large, and very dead Puff Adder in Tokai yesterday early evening on the Jeep track just below Vasbyt. Seems it was run over by one of the trucks as it was quite *flat*, but unmistakeably a Puff Adder.
