  1. Hi Player23. Sorry to hear about your Extreme Light that got stolen along with your other belongings. Will send you a DM to sort you out.
  2. Hi tinmug, The BackUp will be the better option of the two mentioned. Especially in the wet/muddy conditions that you mentioned. Aluminium casing which makes it very durable. They both have a one year warranty.
  3. Thank you for the positive feedback GaryP . The XP1 is a great light. The new version of the XP1 is now called the Core cycle light. We had a very successful sale last week which sadly is a thing of the past now, but make sure to sign up for our newsletter to receive first notice of any special coming up over the festive period.

  10. Hi Dirkitect. We are in the process of designing our 2015 range. The Extreme X range. The 3k will be replaced with the Extreme X7 in a few months time. The review took longer than we expected so having one for the 3k will not make sense. You can read the post on what will change in next years range here. For that reason we are running a sale on most of our lights. http://www.extremelights.co.za/wp-content/uploads/sites/66/2014/09/MTB-GT.jpg

  12. There are so many things to conceder. I bet you that the 1000 Lumen light would be a very good helmet light. My advice is that the helmet light should be equal for half the brightness of the handle bar light. The reason is that you tend to look down a lot and then you blind your self. Effectively making the handle bar light useless while you are night blind. Helmet light should have a sharp hot spot with some side spill. Handle bar lights should be wide and even. Multi led lights seems to be better at handle bar lights where single led lights better at helmet mount. Just the way the optics works. Here is something that could be useful "Which Headlamp is best for adventure racing?" I hope that helps. There is also a light comparison on our site. One of them is for helmet/head mounted lights.
