Well !!... school closes on Thursday and I'll be packing our bags, loading the MTBikes, hooking up the fishing rods and heading off to StruisBaai. Oh...I forgot the MEAT. ..now Damn!! 'YOU KNOW WHEN YOU A CYCLIST WHEN'...you have to cut the weekend short. Will be leaving Struisbaai Saturday afternoon sothat I dont miss out on Sunday's DC training. Well, at least the whole family is satisfied. The wife gets away for almost 2 days, I'm back in time for Sunday's training and the kids have a JOL !!

We were on the Westcoast Rd this morning aswell. Saw quite a few BIG groups incl. City Cycle Club. We only managed 80km's.

My Team heading out that direction on Saturday. We only leave the Rondebosch area at about 6:45am though.

I was wanting to do this for a while now. What is the distance from the entrance gate down to Cape Point? I cycle from Rondebosch and get 40km to the top of Smits. Are groups of 10 allowed to cycle in the Reserve? I need to renew my Wild Card though.

Damn...25 days for me. Its been the hardest 3 weeks in my life.

Thanks Maryks. Just needed some confirmation as quite a few of our Club members had different views on this matter. I always firmly believed that doing these FunRides as part of DC/ONE Tonner training is good. Nothing beats 'RACE PACE'

Once you have obtained a program....could one still do the normal FunRides leading up to the DC or will that hamper/interfere with yr training schedule? Or should you just do yr normal LSD over weekends?
