  1. Hope she comes right fast... she doesn't have a lot of time to play with. Maroshell Odendaal putting in a great push, I think she might make it.... Three girls behind her too as well, but time not on their side unless there are some easy/fast km's in there towards the end?
  2. Not a good time for wrong turns... hope they realise quck
  3. Riders within 45km should hopefully be good provided they are still moving... anyone behind that it's getting touch and go. Hope they can all somehow make it, but fear there will be a few coming in a couple km's short
  4. He's sadly been pulled from the race... crashed and hurt his neck, rode on to the next check point, but the medics pulled him. Gutted for him - especially with the end so near and the ride being more than just about him this year Strongs Vette
  5. Weather really going to throw the cat among the pigeons for the guys closer to cut-off... the images I have seen, it's not even an option to ride, so will be interesting to see if there is maybe some form of extension... Some people going to be losing hours here they can't afford - going to be interesting. This race really does throw it all at the riders, year after year - got to love it
  6. My tracking showing them all together... so hopefully all good
  7. Don't see them stopping again... and unless they do, the gap is surely too big. Haven't done the sums, but would guess a finish sometime early this evening
  8. Big mover overnight is Brian Brummer... right on Benky's tail now. Hansie a fair bit back now, seems he took a 4 hour rest at WP8... Vettie took a small detour after Britstown, probably had a few too many brandys at the shebeens
  9. Well, it's not really a pipe dream when you consider LM has an Everesting time over 7 hours quicker than Benky's best... slightly different beast of course, but not a lot about Munga that would scare LM, and the only thing he's missing is some local knowledge. That's my last Pro-Aussie comment for the year now - back to the dot's
  10. Legend, enjoy!
  11. I think LM is about as intimidated of long hours of pain and suffering as Vettie is of a pie... It was just *** timing. He most likely has plans for Christmas and loved ones to be be with - they're still people (when they get off the bike) We hold thumbs for next year
  12. As much as Vettie loves his sarmies... I can assure you he will be elated with this.
  13. I honestly think Lachlan would have won by hours (I think he's even a good level above Ramses), but I also have no doubt his participation would have pushed everyone to another level... really do hope he comes back next year. Bloody effin covid even stuffing with our dot watching
  14. Hope things going okay with you Francois? Don't feel obliged to post, but just know you're in our thoughts
  15. I voel you must dig a little deeper into your birding knowledge
  16. We can't tell you, for fear of him sitting on us... but I'll give you a clue, and think in Afrikaans
  17. Haha... fair enough. I really didn't take into account the site compressing the image
  18. Only person who can make this call is you and Reinet... but from my side, I don't think spending your last days in a hospital bed is what you're all about. Suck every last ounce out of life in your remaining days - do not go quietly into that good night.
  19. Legend... let's get designing you some awesome custom kit - will make sure it all gets sponsored
  20. I'm in for R500 as well... hopefully more if I can. Cois, I have no words for you, but can only seriously say you are an absolute f#cking champion. Endless respect
  21. Bit late to the party, not been on in a while, but just made the deposit as promised... hope it helps in some little way Cois. Keep fighting the good fight - look forward to that post-ride beer/coffee one day!
  22. Main reason I pop onto bikehub these days is to check in on you Cois... I don't think you know what sort of an inspiration you are to many people you don't even know. It's tough times out there in general, and a lot of people are struggling a bit more than they are used to, but seeing your fight and determination puts it all in perspective. Thank you for that - you've lit a fire in me personally that I know is already moving me in a very positive direction. Great to see that pic of you looking so strong - you're a bloody Yster man. Keep up the good fight! And on the crowd funding, for whatever solution you find or need to ease your mobility issues - I'm in for R1500 Just let me know where and when Thank you.
