  1. Also wasn't complaining about the questionable penalty... got this, plus all the 5 fold bets under it. R100 magically turned into R3000 I haven't bet in weeks because the results have just been so crazy, but I'd hoped the fans coming back would bring a bit more normality...
  2. Dullest Arsenal team I can ever recall... barely a creative player on the pitch. And I watched George Graham teams... Makes great watching though as a Spurs fan Arteta started well, but there is zero balance to the squad and the potent strikers get nothing to work with... and Mesut Ozil doesn't have a squad number
  3. Brilliant offering that is much needed... and great that it is all in house. Well done
  4. Can you imagine Newsroom ploughing through the recent American political scene! The world has missed a trick here
  5. A few others pretty high up on my list... The Following, Boardwalk Empire and Outlander
  6. The absolutely must watch list... not being all that sure how far your backlog is: Breaking Bad (If you need convincing, go read Anthony Hopkins fan mail on it: https://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2013/10/anthony-hopkins-breaking-bad-fan-letter) Peaky Blinders (as mentioned by many others - top drawer) Suits (first 3-4 seasons are brilliant, then it drops off a bit) Big Bang Theory (light easy anytime viewing) True Detective Season 1 (heavy, and a slow, but an absolute masterpiece) Mindhunter (have only watched season 1, it was top drawer) Stranger Things (maybe not everyone's cup of tea, but I really enjoyed it - nice original piece) Newsroom (brilliant and thought provoking, it's a crime against humanity this series didn't continue) Mentalist (another older series, but just brilliant in my books) Good luck on the catch up, also having young kids I'm always behind on my telly, so really do research and put a premium on what I watch... there is a fair bit of rubbish out there, but plenty of quality as well
  7. The Newcastle last minute penalty was also highly questionable... I also wasn't a Jose fan by the longest of shots, but results speak. He's also been well backed by the board to build as impressive a squad as we've probably ever had... depth everywhere and options to change games. Gareth Bale didn't even get a kick yesterday and Dele Ali is going to have to pull his head out his arse to even get a look in again. City not what they were, relying far too much on De Bruyne and Sterling of late Going to be a very interesting season, still very early days of course, but really not a lot in it!
  8. I think a lot of it is down to the bigger teams being in Europe and having an insane fixture list... the lower teams, and there are no easy teams in the Prem, play once a week, prep properly and come in flying and fresh. We're 8 games into the season and the players are looking knackered and the injury counts are rising... Going to be a very interesting season
  9. You can give all the credit to Spurs for the lekker big wake up call we gave you... Always glad when Southampton do well, hope you can keep it up, keep Ings injury free and hold on to your best players so you can build a bit more. Ward Prowse also having a cracking season
  10. Yeah, he's not match fit yet, but there's no doubt he's a seriously class act... A front three of him, Kane and Son must be right up there with the very best in the world. Hope we get to see a lot of that this season and the world get's to enjoy him back at his best.
  11. And Football has probably 20 times the budgets of those sports... There are actually no excuses, it's pretty pathetic
  12. That Ref/VAR combo in the Spurs game for the Brighton goal to be allowed, definitely asks a lot of questions... It's about as clear a foul as you will ever see! I could actually live with it as I think they should have had a penalty earlier frankly, but at least it ended well with Bale popping up for the winner. Finding it crazy how with VAR we're almost no better off. Some crazy decisions almost every week... they're going to have to take some serious stock and rectify things quickly
  13. Physical and mental beast... I still miss his psychology articles from Ride Mag. Mental game on a completely different level to most - was always cool and a little mind-blowing to get his insights... Wonder if he will give Munga a proper crack one of these years, but it might be a bit on the short side for him Very worthy holder of the record... Mr Dreyer, the ball is in your court (and of course let's not forget Jeannie!)
  14. Hope all goes well Cois Lot's of us rooting for you!
  15. Awesome, will follow with interest! Wish you guys all the best, it's a tough industry for sure - but it's also extremely fulfilling work, hope you can crack the balance! Gooi mielies

  17. How the people coming up with these rules can have so little understanding of the actual game is completely insane... still fuming about that Newcastle Penalty. Imagine trying to jump at a corner against Andy Carrol, but you can't use your arms at all Some pretty crazy results over the weekend too... Leicester tactics spot on against City and West Ham surprised everyone against a very tired looking Wolves. Liverpool already looking like they might well run away with it again. Strange that City have done so little business when they have quite a few glaring problems. Have the oil merchants lost interest?
  18. We did this for years after the Jock when we sponsored it... Anatomic Watt Challenge. Bike riders full weight (bike and rider) and their age all taken into account along with their time. Was good fun and games!
  19. Getting a bit excited at the idea of Son and Bale playing off of Kane... Spurs to win the league Guess it might be a few weeks still until we actually see them all playing together, but the signings have already given the whole squad a bit of a lift from the look of things. Was a bit of a Son/Kane masterclass in the second half. Southampton slow to adapt though... kept pushing that high line and being punished. You can see how Leicester hit them for 9 Enjoyed the Utd result.... Palace are a team you can't give a lead to, they'll pick you off all day long and they are well drilled by old Woy
  20. Yip... top top drawer, and a bit different to their current midfield options - will make them quite a lot stronger in my books
  21. Bale to Spurs... flip I would love that. If it happens, I know we aren't paying over the odds because of who our chairman is, and it would be the massive pick me up our whole squad needs. Too many players cruising at the moment... and Bale still has quite a few good years ahead in my books. All this rest on the Real bench might have done him the world of good Front three of Kane, Son and Bale isn't half bad... and hopefully a re-invigorated Dele playing in just behind them. Also looks like we might nick the Sevilla (Real) left back who would give us much better balance down either flank... Then I want to see Mourinho complaining
  22. Strongs Cois... you're a fighter like few others - you've got this! This too shall pass
