  1. PS: Let's not confuse paying ASA and paying a club fee... ASA suck and they offer virtually nothing. That's the South African way though. We have a massive strong running culture in spite of them... and that again, is largely thanks to the clubs We're very lucky, and I for one will not take it for granted.
  2. Love my running club... very happy to pay over that little bit of cash each year and chip in to help make our race a success and help our top runners develop etc. Clubs are the backbone of pretty much all running in this country, it's the reason we have incredible running options and cheap entry fees as you've got volunteers making races far easier to host every weekend of the year. It's one of the places cycling went wrong, we lost our club culture and with that the events they organised. Now we largely pay professional race organisers an arm and a leg to put on races as they do it for a living, have to cover all costs and marshalls etc. Clubs bring manpower and passion, you can't buy that. Long live the club culture and the club races
  3. Read an interesting article last night on Liverpools blip... quite likely down to fatigue, obviously not aided by the huge hole left by van Dijk. They have 5-6 players in the top 10 for the most minutes in the premier league over the last 3 seasons... add in two champions league final runs, that crazy battle with City the season before they won, and they're rightfully out on their feet. They don't have nearly the depth of City, but City also were well off the pace last year. We all know how hard it is for a team to defend a title these days, and Liverpool on paper put together pretty much two seasons worthy of winning a title... this 3rd season is rightfully a bridge too far. Still think themselves and City and in a different league... Liverpool just need some freshening up, but the basic structure of that team is still pretty incredible, they just have a few too many players not quite at the races. And as for Jose... at least we attacked on the weekend. Kane obviously always changes things, so great to have him back, but still just sitting and waiting for the next horror show. Hopefully he is learning, but there is a part of me that believes he is too stubborn and set in his old ways.
  4. Understatement of the year...
  5. Was more a case of this thread having been going for years with little noise from the red half of Manchester. Heck we get more input from the Birmingham fans. Anyways, football is all about the great rivalry's - it's good to have Man Utd back near the top
  6. Hahahaha... I wouldn't get too excited, I still think they'll finish above you
  7. Nice to see the United fans have crawled out of the cracks of late
  8. One of my designers will do the design options for you, but if you want some more options just give me a shout, always happy to help and of course need them looking great Thanks for the support Frosty, appreciated
  9. Added this to our range these last few months... have become very popular. Everyone loves a good golf shirt, and these do not dissapoint! Give us a shout and let's see what we can do for you
  10. No arguments here... we stink But we're in a cup final already, and on the day anything can happen... I live in hope
  11. Nein!
  12. I wouldn't mind Nagelsmann if we could get him, but yeah, not too many options... I'm sure Jose will be here to see us through the cup games. And heck, if we can win a trophy, maybe it can be seen us some kind of success, but this football is soul destroying to watch and there are clearly some issues coming in behind the scenes
  13. I'm disappointed
  14. Cheap and cheerful... cycling caps are a great fun accessory to add to your riding groups apparel. Give us a call The stock cycling cap in the promo (as well as a few others) will also be available in store and online within the next 10 days - thanks for supporting local jobs!
  15. Hey Love2Fly, sorry for the slow reply... bottom line, clothing is made by humans and using threads that can always break or get damaged down the line. It's not exactly a common problem in my experience, but it can honestly happen to any product/brand etc We obviously apologize for the inconvenience but remain committed to backing up our products Please get in touch with us or drop me a pm
  16. Yeah, looks like Jose has lost the dressing room almost... would be record time, even by his standards. The moment I saw the team line-up I switched off the TV and went to bed - thanks goodness for that! Funny post I saw on social media... Get in Tony Pulis ASAP, at least he's good at setting up his team to play this type of football. This is not the Spurs way, I don't see this lasting much longer in all honesty - would be a pity in some regards, as we're nicely setup in most of the Cups, but jeepers, I don't know what Mourinho is up to
  17. Really strugging to understand Jose of late... we play against bottom 5 teams like they are world beaters who we can't go toe to toe with, and then when we should be cautious and wary of a team and their attack - he leaves us completely open with a very random and unbalanced back line. All 3 Liverpool goals were avoidable is the sad point, two errors from Lloris (he's making a habit of it in the big games) and the third a mistake from Rodon (who in all honesty looks a great prospect, but surely Alderweireld starts in a game like this!) Was a very entertaining first half, but the moment Kane went off we really looked short of ideas - hope he's not out too long, else we can like kiss our Champions League hopes goodbye. On a positive note, good to see Liverpool back towards their best... they'll have a hard time catching City, but those two for me are still head and shoulders above the rest of the league.
  18. Yeah, I'm going to chase it up personally.... my wife doesn't seem to phased with the drop down of a level, but these sort of things bother me a bit Also agree it's not a grey area, it was in 2020, the points go to 2020 - no if's and buts.
  19. I'm in a similar boat... we were short 3000 points to stay on diamond heading into the last week, so wife booked her health check for the 31st. Points have though been allocated for 2021 and even though her broker chased it up, they didn't budge and we're sitting on Gold now. Seriously irritating. We blame ourselves in part for leaving it last minute, but shifting the goals posts also ain't cool...
  20. Lampards biggest mistake was buying too many players and upsetting the team dynamic. He did brilliantly last year getting Champions League after losing Hazard and also were under the transfer ban. He should have stuck to that system, young English core, bought 2-3 top top players to take them up a notch or two... and progress systematically. But yeah, we all know how Roman works. I honestly just expected with it being Lampard he had maybe woken up a bit and would finally play some sensible long term game...
  21. Admittedly I don't see a lot of PSG, but I did watch them draw with a pretty poor Madrid side and thought they were lucky Atalanta ran out of gas in their knockout game. Maybe I am being harsh though...
  22. I'm not sure he is all that much of an upgrade - but we will see I guess.... Only place he really won something was at PSG, but with their squad and finances - so could anybody. They made the Champions League final, but not exactly in fine style and not exactly playing great football.
  23. Horrible plastic club... Should have given Frank the season at the very least, he was never going to get it all right so early on in his career.
  24. Myfitnesspal still the best calorie tracker? Any recommendation for a nice free app for planning your training with reminders etc?
