  1. It was not bad, won't protect from a serious knock. Sent it back already. Awaiting the refund.
  2. Thanks, ended up finding it at the same price from Takealot which makes shipping convenient too. Ordered it with the standard steel filter after reading tons of reviews. Now I wait......
  3. So my minipresso on special at Makro ended up being only the case for R395. When something is too good to be true its usually because you never read the ad properly!!! So now I am on the hunt for an Aeropress Go. Besides the usual places like Yuppiechef, where else can I find one?
  4. The new 390 adventure also has a budget build look and feel. There is a catalytic convertor which is almost as big as the engine block and the whole instrument cluster looks like it was bodged on. That sells for just shy of R100K. New bike prices are just ridiculous. You can buy a very well looked after, but used, 1190 adventure for about the same money!!!!
  5. To be honest, in the current political climate it is favourable to the F1 brand to have a person of colour dominating so they will be in no hurry to end it. Which is sad for the sport in general. If anybody wishes to see that as a racist comment, good on you.
  6. As long as you have proof then it should be fine. It is the same when it comes to child maintenance which SARS see's as income when it goes out as quickly as it goes in.......
  7. That is how I would do it, but I am no expert unfortunately. They tend to dispute these. I had a very big ambulance claim, R40k, a few years back. It went on for months until I eventually just let it go. The basis for their dispute was that ambulance transportation, under a doctors advice and insistence, was not a medical related expense...........
  8. Go read up on the Vit/swart pilen's, non influencer reviews. They are very underwhelming bitsa bikes. Jensen Beeler of Asphaltandrubber.com was at the launch, was not impressed. He is one of the biking journo's I like because he is not afraid to call a spade, a spade. He does have a bias to Ducati's though so need to keep that in mind when reading "those" reviews.
  9. Grosjean is out and The Hulk is in, pretty sure I read that over the weekend. Also talk of getting rid of KMag. I do think both those drivers are overrated. Back to F1 in general, read a story where Lewis is saying he agrees that F1 is boring but its the bosses who must do something. I disagree, surely as the top dog you have a big say? "Look guys, I am winning all these races, and breaking all these records but the racing is a joke. Let's sort it out" Surely that's something he could do, or is it more lip service????
  10. Unconfirmed reports that he is now Facebook friends with Pol Espargaro.......
  11. If you think your life sucks, remember Sainz is signed to drive a Ferrari next year............
  12. MotoGP has a single tyre supplier (Michelin), as does WSBK (Pirelli). MotoGP also has a spec ECU too. The tyres this year seem to be a bit iffy, a few duds if reports from riders are to be believed. They also changed the carcass which affects some bikes more than other but I wouldn't say that tyres have determined the championship for the last 5 years. The spec ECU was controversial initially, they basically used the Ducati system, but these rules have been a game changer and the racing shows it.
  13. And talk of a 300cc version of the Tenere too......
  14. F1 is broken, been saying it for the last 2 years. The rules are just not allowing for an even playing field. Again I use MotoGP as an example where on any given day 15 riders on 4 different machines COULD win.
  15. Did you not a full motorcycle license in SA, that just converts on your side?
  16. What the F is a "Flat hierarchy"???
  17. I will look into it, was ridiculously cheap on a online only Makro deal
  18. So you run around chasing choirboys?????
  19. May be scoffed at, but just ordered this little item:
  20. LOVE Jack's Italian accent, wonder if it helps get the point across.
  21. As it was essentially an incident where a Yahama ran into the back of a competitor. I think (yes entitlement and no right to make such a demand) they should show data proving that it was not a brake failure or malfunction. This is a safety issue more than a racing incident. Fabulous Quarterpounder and Maverick's experiences show there seems to be quite a big problem. On an entirely different note, how is Millers entry into T3 at that track. Amazing skill or dangerous riding? It is consistent but man it blocks anyone from attacking him, and he can then exploit the Ducati's power down to T4.
  22. 235kmh, was crazy!!!
  23. Neil Hodgson explained it on BT Sport exactly how I saw it. Zarco's line was not the problem, Morbidelli's response to it was lacking in judgement. After this weeks race I feel even stronger about it. How about Yamaha show us some of the braking data around "that" crash. Anyway, rubbish track.
  24. Making it up as you go along........ which is fair in a sense but there is so much data now showing you cannot hide, and it will not go away. Furthermore, lockdowns are in effective and do more harm than good.
