  1. I responded by laughing but I saw one of the new Carnivals and it looks nice. I have a very strange attraction to the new Hyundai Staria, hated it initially but really growing on me......
  2. Anyone need a paddock stand, collapsible so easily disassembled for postage. New R1100, asking R500.
  3. Must be a newer model, fairly modern design for Harley.
  4. Depending on your relationship with the in-laws, maybe consider a luggage trailer and pillows..........
  5. Pre-chromed I assume.......
  6. The pay half now and half when receive is another flag for me. So he does not know you at all yet willing to take a R3250 hit on a stranger.......... Someone on a motorcycle FB group was scammed out of R10k and it was SOOOO obvious. I think when you want something bad enough you tend to be more inclined to miss the flags.
  7. Depends on your needs but if you are looking at the T700 then also take a look at the Aprilia 660 Toureg. My dream bike is an African Twin currently so that's where I would go without question, but I would be a 90/10 split between road/off-road.
  8. He is either playing chicken with Alpine or he has a contract in his back pocket already with another team.......
  9. Had a guy recently ask about storage facilities for bikes on one of our 2T groups. There is a place called "The Archive Automotive". Temp and humidity controlled storage. They even do maintenance and regular starting/riding of the bikes. Something to look into for those fortunate enough to have these sorts of problems...... thearchive.co.za I cannot vouch for them, simply passing on useful information, possibly.
  10. Very strange situation indeed...........
  11. Have a friend who had a 1250 30th edition. Full house with every conceivable extra possible. Loved it. Past tense as they stole it out of his garage 2 weeks ago.........
  12. For the uninformed they will flit between the 2 for "comparitive quotes" and come out feeling a winner, perhaps......
  13. Got a new car recently and the smaller cars are flying out the doors he says. Fuel efficiency being one the biggest factors, people dumping the gas guzzlers.
  14. Yeah, I suppose my biggest gripe with the drivers holding on too long is that it tarnishes their record but also it blocks a seat for a younger and possibly more talented driver coming up or moving into a more competitive seat.
  15. Saw that, overdue tbh. A number of drivers who are hanging on longer than they should. Sad part of motorsport lately.
  16. I have a older gentleman who services my cars and I always ask his advice, has never let me down. He has had some sad stories with Suzuki's. Little R10 seals inside gearboxes leaking within 30000km. Hours of labour to replace, and leak again soon after. On the Honda Jazz, pricey to do major services because of car layout. Looked at one and walked away when he told me you have to practically remove the dash to do sparkplug replacements. All cars have faults but those stick with me. Oh and 17r labout to replace a waterpump on a newer Golf GTi.....
  17. Just as an aside, I prefer Whatsapp communications so when I respond to an ad I may be interested in I give that option. The person will have full access to my Bikehub profile though. I also normally list my number with Whatsapp next to it. Not sure why, just prefer it.
  18. .........finished your sentence for you.
  19. I would just build it up myself personally, find a local hubber that side who might have the correct tools. If its in a box it can't be that stripped down, surely just wheels, seat, brakes, etc. ......
  20. I had the older TV games, with cartridges. Never the fancy SEGA ones, mostly the cheaper sort. So probably also Mario Brothers. Memorable games though where I would call myself an actual gamer are Unreal Tournament, Counterstrike and then when I got onto a PS console GTA San Andreas and Gran Turismo 4. Lost many hours to those. Haven't gamed in a while but my last big time sucker was No Man's Sky.........
  21. Be wary of the quick pack away, stored a damp blow up mattress once, when we next wanted to use it it was covered in mould unfortunately. Bleached it to death and worked perfectly fine just always looked a bit miff. It has been retired since though.
  22. Tentco also locally made and good quality for much less. The Thule one is really nice but overpriced IMO.
  23. It already has surely. I see the Ferrari strategists again playing it too safe. Sainz was on for a possible podium there. Also, what the hell was Perez doing on that restart.......
