  1. I use some Adidas Evil Eye half rims which have a prescription insert. Easily changed when prescription changes. Also harder to break.
  2. Have not seen the series but read the books, I thought the plot was maybe a bit generic but that the premise was pretty cool.
  3. Yeah, that is a lot of money. At least the racing of late is decent, worth watching.
  4. Friend said he paid R10k for a weekend pass in 2010 so you might need to save a bit. R50k might get you your 5 day passes for race day IF the F1 even comes here.......
  5. And that is fine but when you purchase a car as a consumer this nonsense should not be happening.
  6. Crazy, was discussing this with a friend. Once they realize sheeple will pay where does it end. Aircon subscription, small microtransaction to start a car after switching on the ignition?? Crazy times man!!!
  7. Heres hoping your budget allows for 5 tickets and not 1 or 2. Could become awkward.......
  8. Jip, if you drive your car into a tree and they find your brakes were not in good order then they would decline a claim, bald tyres would similarly lead to a decline. Similar scenario, albeit harder for them to prove. Should have bashed it against a rock I suppose............ The decline is crappy, but understandable. The increasing premiums is what irks me. Some companies will lure you in with cheap premiums, then at the anniversary push them up. Like a loss leader of sorts.
  9. There were fake calendars being circulated too.
  10. You can yes, did this a few months back for my wifes watch. Just buy a voucher on D-Day with your miles. 2 QR codes to scan and then pay the difference.
  11. Thinking a "off grid" thread might be a good idea.........
  12. I hear you, but if I do something in my private capacity to bring my job or employer into disrepute I would be. In this case he works for an international brand and races in a series run by a massive entity that has social responsibilities. He is also not a average Joe Soap, he is an international superstar in the biggest motorcycle racing series in the world. He is a role model to millions of youngsters, whether he likes it or not. He has a certain responsibility that comes with the salary and privileges. He should be sanctioned IMO. He won't be winning the title anyway, he falls off bikes as quickly as he pitched SUV's into ditches, the former though while sober and so no excuses........
  13. Should Pecco be fired or sanctioned? Opinions........
  14. They will have to promote the crap out of it for foreign travels to have a cheap F1 holiday. That or they will comp plenty of tickets to show full stands. Don't see the tickets being within the reach of an average Joe Soap.......
  15. Off of Yuki's car I believe.......
  16. Have not watched the series but read all of the Jack Carr books, not bad. Suppose like the series it is a bit of "mindless" reading, can just coast through it. It is no coincidence that James Reece shares the same initials as Jack Reacher of Jack Ryan. Same same, just different.........
  17. Chose a bad race to skip it seems................
  18. Friend just sent me this, crazy.........
  19. Just finished S01 of Moon Knight, equally impressed and disappointed. Storyline was great but expected a more "super heroey" type series. I enjoyed it, the kids not so much.
  20. R2500 minimum, and that would be for the shitty seats. In a country struggling with poverty. Would expect this to all be privately funded too, government has no interest in motorsport.
  21. Wondering the same, and also hoping but not looking good. Big names linked to that RNF seat and with Frankie blocking the 2nd Factory Yamaha it is a problem.......
  22. Yeah that mistake by Aleix would have been funny if it wasn't so sad. Fabio is definitely in a league of his own, but his arrogance could be his downfall. He has openly said having only 2 bikes doesn't bother him as no-one else on a Yamaha is giving worthwhile feedback. That may be so but they if he gets injured Yamaha are where Honda are, very quickly too. They have a dead end with Franco having a contract and basically "blocking" the 2nd Yamaha seat. Hopefully they can all come to a financial agreement for him to step aside. I also see Pol to tech3 alongside Remi. So Raul to RNF Aprila maybe more than rumours. Oliviera to Gresini Ducati also possibly a done deal........
  23. Great racing yesterday, pity about the Turn 1 incident for Rins and Pecco. Also eating huge slices of humble pie, have gone from one of the biggest Darryn Binder detractors to a huge fan and hoping he finds a ride next year.
  24. Would you not the same cash back percentage from PnP or Woolworths though? We do about R1000 a month from Dischem, wife and kids mostly. Then get cash back on fuel and the PnP shopping. All in all we get back more than we spend on Vitality and the Discovery banking. Helps our family to get active as we have started doing Parkrun and my wife joined Vitality too so she is more active these days. Our miles feed our Takealot addiction mostly. The D-day on the 15% is a winner..... I was using miles to pay for pre-paid electricity too, and still do if I have enough accumulated. Nice 15% discount goes a long way with electricity.
