  1. And that is the problem, it takes time and ultimately more money to jump through all of the hoops to get a charged laid. Then even more to get it prosecuted. These scammers know it, keep the amounts small and it is hardly ever taken further. Sad really.
  2. As a Ken Follett fan I know these big cathedrals, historically, were built over 2 or more generations. The modern ones, with modern equipment would be quicker I suppose but would they have the same soul? There is that saying about planting a tree you will sit under, I feel the same can be said for those original masons. Laying foundations then waiting out seasons to continue, knowing you will not see the completion on the building. Incredible.
  3. Must be tough when you realize a whole lot of your success was down to superior machinery. Yes, the driver needs to be on his game too but I think quite a bit of Lulu's success, like Sebastian Vettel's RBR success, can be attributed to the equipment.
  4. That cathedral looks epic!!!!!
  5. Not a fan of Jacinda, this adds to my dislike:
  6. Why does your car and trailer have the same registration, genuine question.
  7. It is a struggle to get honest hubber's to remove sold items at times so lets not get too hopeful.....
  8. I have done my first transaction as a seller using the Bike hub pay method. AWESOME, @Matthas a winner there. Yes there is a fee but it is super convenient and not exorbitant either. 3-3.5% I think, was R109 on a R3600 sale. The add also get marks as "on hold" and "sold" as the process goes along. Money only exchanges once the buyer is happy. Have I said it is an awesome initiative.......
  9. I factored in the fact that it is a pair, would have been R1000 if it was a lefty......
  10. So the spin story of it being the car and not Max should start soon.........
  11. R2000 at best, send me your details and I can arrange for the courier once payment is made...............
  12. I found the same post as the original on a Facebook group. Got no traction though. Wondering too if the refund was paid or not...........
  13. I believe the current term is UAP, Unidentified Aerial Phenomena
  14. His bank account must be sitting pretty too...............
  15. Can't see the 2nd and 3rd pic but assuming its a DIY hack of sorts. Routers are pretty dangerous tools, people underestimate the damage they can cause.
  16. Is the L and R from a seated position or standing in front of the bike. Another thing that has always puzzled me........
  17. Was servicing some pedals on Sunday while watching the MotoGP and those clockwise/anti-clockwise nuts on the pedals always gets me. Tend to always try to loosen them in the wrong direction before trying the other way. All good with removing pedals, understand the direction and why but once the pedals are off and I don't keep track of which pedal is which side, it all goes to poo!!!
  18. Was referring to this stuff
  19. True, and why stop there, fill your frame for more effect....... Duh, you use the insulation around refrigeration piping obviously. More density........
  20. *rushes to the shop: https://www.builders.co.za/Fasteners-Fixtures-%26-Security/Putty-%26-Fillers/General-Fillers/Genkem-Filler-Foam-(500ml)/p/000000000000432542
  21. Curious to hear about the foam filled part of this, additional damping I assume but more details please. Why, how, etc......
  22. Pic or it never happened............
  23. I will second Semanuk. Will then change my vote if he is listed. For now my vote goes to Schurter, mountain biking to me is XC, there is then trail, enduro, downhill, road, etc. If we blur the lines, and Semenuk is added, then I would see it as who is the best period. The criteria I would us is "can the others do what Semenuk can do", no. "Could he do what they do", I believe so given the will and time and practice......... Fun poll but too vague. Most will vote local and go for Mr Min. Perhaps you should add Burry, see where that goes........
  24. I would probably be getting a similar van when we get on-shore next year. At least we are hoping that when we will be getting over a more than 2yr Covid delay. Would want something maybe not as neat and pretty seeing as it will be used for carting bicycles, camping gear, etc.......
