  1. Interesting, looks a decent organisation... So, the question is, which is the intelligent Satrix option at this point... Here they are: www.satrixnow.co.za/Equity
  2. Who is easiest/cheapest to trade ETFs through in SA? Also, how would one trade US-based ETFs from SA?
  3. Myles, Dave, very interesting and thanks a lot guys. Investing is daunting yet exciting at the same time.
  4. All / Myles, Not to take this off topic, but have you ever looked at the Orbis funds from Allan Gray that are invested in USD/Euro abroad? Below are the three options, despite the useless Rand, would these not be a decent option? Although goodness knows which would be the best bet in the current bearish economic climate? Your thoughts? 1. Orbis Global Equity Fund (USD)Fully invested in global equities• The benchmark is the FTSE World Index, including income, gross of withholding taxes (“FTSE World Index”) • The Fund’s currency exposure is managed relative to that of the FTSE World Index 2. Orbis SICAV Global Balanced Fund (USD)A diversified global portfolioInvests in global equities, fixed income and commodity-linked instrumentsAims to earn higher long-term returns than its benchmark, which is comprised of 60% MSCI World Index with net dividends reinvested and 40% JP Morgan Global Government Bond Index (“60/40 Index”), both in US DollarsCan employ limited stock market hedging to reduce risk of loss 3. Orbis Optimal SA Fund (USD and Euro)A hedged portfolio of selected global equities• Invests principally in selected global equities believed to offer superior relative value • Employs stock market hedging to reduce risk of loss
  5. Good read for "beginner investors"... http://www.bdlive.co.za/opinion/columnists/2015/06/25/beginners-guide-to-investing-on-the-jse I'd be interested to hear what more experienced investors than I think of this article?
  6. Very happy with mine.
  7. I'm keen to hit up the Stellies Cycle Tour, maybe this is the year...
  8. Not to hijack your thread, but what date is the 2016 DC? I'd assume a week after 94.7, so 26 Nov?
  9. The bike race where everyone is a winner!
  10. This long suffering Alonso fan is not looking forward to yet another long season of Honda engines pushing out the same power as a Honda lawnmower.
  11. True, although now its getting worse not better... Perhaps next year ASG will make us drive to Bloem for number collection?
  12. Dear ASG, Why is number collection only in Krugersdorp? As someone living in the East Rand, I find that highly inconvenient and I'm sure 90% of all participants would agree with me. Please make a plan for collections in Fourways as has been the case for pretty much every Gauteng race in the last decade. Thanks
  13. Disclaimer: Andrew Mclean is sponsored by ASG who sponsor/own the event.
  14. Prefer it to the black one... And I posted pictures of the "new" kit on Twitter a month ago
  15. Rolland and Uran are two great signings for Cannondale.
  16. Damn, I'll have to stay in SA
  17. Lads, How is the road cycling in the Auckland area?
  18. All very exciting, except for the fact that there are even less South Africans than last season

Go team! Are any of you doing the Ian Kernnick Audax this Sunday?
  22. Great news and well deserved. AND as Gerald has already pointed out, its wonderful to hear of the youth team going continental.

    The I-Team

Exactly this! I kept telling the guys behind me to shout when members of the bus were hurting of falling off. When you are on the front, its impossible to know whether a rider in 8th has fallen off.
