I can't say I'm a fan of Farrar who is a bit of a whinger, but nevertheless I think its a good signing. The team are going to be potent in sprints as well as the Spring classics with this new lineup. Here's hoping they bolster their mountain goats for the 3 week tours.

I'm not one to rant about races, but here goes my quick summary of one of the most poorly organised race I've ever attended... 1. The venue and start area was far from ideal, as mentioned by several poster already. 2. No bike marshals! Not even in the licensed groups, and this on what can only be summed up as dangerous roads with cars and trucks chopping past on the narrow roads. 3. Then there were "missing marshals" at the turn with about 15km to go and several elites and vets literally got "lost" and had to dodge traffic through a random town. 4. Did I mention that R300 is a utter ripoff?! 5. Not that I particularly care, but for a fee that is close to that of the superb 94.7, the social cyclists I'm sure would have appreciated a goodies bag, even if it was filled with cr@p they will never use.

Too true! AND Honda have a successful history of making small fast engines, so what can go wrong? Rumour has in Alonso is Mclaren's number one choice for 2015 with Vettel as a fallback if Alonso doesn't take them up on their offer.

I expect big things from the new Honda engines and as a result, I'm really hoping Alonso leaves Ferrari for the Mclaren Honda team. Its ridiculous that season after season, quite possibly the sports number one driver has to drive an under performing Red Car.

Exactly! Look at that piece of sh*t CONTador... He went to eat at a local restaurant (while doping the cr@p out of himself), then when he was caught for doping, he blamed the beef (played the blame game) and threw the local beef farmer under the bus. The beef farm was closed down and chances are the farmers life was in ruin thereafter while Contador came back from cheating to continue making millions.

If we give Daryl the benefit of the doubt based on what (at best) a sketchy sounding story, surely we need to give the likes of Contador who "accidentally ate tainted beef" and Frank Schleck the benefit of the doubt as well? Sagan aside, the Garmin Sharp team has a far better selection of riders than Cannondale's current team and it makes sense that an American bike brand supply an American team.

In what has been an incredibly dull season (partly because my boy Alonso is having to drive the wheels off his pathetic red car just to challenge for 4th or 5th AND partly because the cars sound like electric golf carts), I still can't decide which of the two Mercedes drivers I'd rather have win the championship?!

Perhaps an all American Garmin Cannondale team next season would be better for the Cannondale brand? Let face facts, apart from Peter Sagan's entertainment and near victories, this has been a highly disappointing season for the Italian squad. Sadly it does look as though Sagan (and his has-been teammate Basso) are heading to Tinkoff Saxo in 2015.
