  1. I have zero issues with mounting WTB's. No more than any other tubeless tyre :/ Their Tough High Grip tyres are ridiculous at the moment. Got a 2.6 Vigilante on the front and I'm so damn impressed with that tyre.
  2. When did Haro start making bikes like this?? I haven't seen the name since I rode BMX in high school.
  3. Ah, that looks sweet. I actually have a 1980 Mongoose Supergoose I need to restore. I just need to get hold of a couple of parts. You're collection looks good man.
  4. I never received a quote, so I guess I was never actually entered?
  5. Got them at my LBS, they recommended them. Paid a little bit more for the set than what a Hope front boost hub costs at retail. About the same price as Rapide hubs. Honestly can't say what the long term durability is like. But so far so good and the high engagement freehub is awesome.
  6. I'm impressed with the ECC hubs. 72 point (5°) engagement and the set came with both Shimano and XD freehub bodies.
  7. I considered a Lyne wheelset. But I went with WTB rims in the end. I'm abusive on my set of WTB Frequency i29's. I have hit square edge rocks at speed convinced I'm going to see a massive dent, but nothing. I'd gladly spend the money on a another set based on my current experience. And I paid less than the price per rim on Lyne's website for their rims.
  8. This place looks insanely fun https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Woj-vJp_zTY
  9. I built up my new bike mostly but haven't bought a dropper post yet. Wanted to check my fit on the bike before buying anything but my LBS loaned out a bike that had a seatpost on that I was going to borrow for the weekend. Is there anyone here (Melville/JHB) that can loan me a seatpost for a day or two in exchange for a six pack? Pretty please, it sucks having a brand new bike that I can't ride and all the seatposts I have are 31.6mm
  10. Don't most people ride like this ? o_O I know I do.
  11. Don't really know if these are good deals or not, but rotors on One Day Only: https://www.onedayonly.co.za/centreline-hxs-rotorline.html https://www.onedayonly.co.za/centerline-rotor-for-cycling-180mm-or-200mm.html
  12. In case anyone was wondering, you can buy pallet wood that has either not been used to make pallets or that has already been disassembled from pallet form. Works out cheap, but obviously needs work. https://www.gumtree.co.za/a-construction-materials/eastern-pretoria/pallet-wood-for-sale/1002584183760910010355909
  13. It's a lower profile design? Pretty much hidden.
  14. I assume you're referring to the Kore rims in your post? Was keen on some blue nipples, but I've decided against it haha
  15. Anybody here have any experience with Kore Realm rims? I'm looking at getting a wheelset built up at Rapide, but was wondering about the Kore rims compared to the Rapide ones. Both at 30mm internal width.
  16. Yeah, they were weird about it. https://www.instagram.com/singletracksampler/?hl=en
  17. This: https://youtu.be/LD7Y3_UtUJA And this: https://youtu.be/buDl_QY640k
  18. That was painful...
  19. I've been checking the Rapide wheelsets. Have only heard 1 guy recommend them though, apart from these replies today.
  20. Hey guys I'm building up a Trance. Thinking of importing a wheelset with some other stuff. https://www.merlincycles.com/stans-no-tubes-flow-s1-wheelset-275-boost-100833.html http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/za/en/nukeproof-neutron-mtb-wheelset/rp-prod160742 I thought of going with Flow S1's until I saw the Nukeproof set. Anybody own any of these wheelsets/rims? Any advice on what you'd choose?
