Focus Cycles in Salt River have some very nice models in stock at exceptionally good prices. Shaun and Dimitri are very helpful and communication is excellent. Even though the models are not current theyre brand new and the prices are very reasonable. German styling is by no means boring and bland.....geometry and paint work is super. Thanks for assisting with my purchase. Will be more than happy to support again sometime in the future.

This Torseheinmichealhans1@gmail.com seems to be spreading his wings. I put up 2 individual ads on Guntree (Gun Africa )for ,22 rifles which Im assisting family members to sell. He replied to both saying hes from Germany , wants me to give Pay Pal details and he will arrange for a courier to collect. After initially advising him of the legal red tape regarding police export permits aswell as import permits into Germany together with a myriad of other legal ramifications he thankfully disappeared. I suspected a scammer from the outset.

And the ANC government and police minister Cele want to outlaw self defence firearms! There is currently a draft law which will make self defence an unacceptable reason for wanting a firearm licence ..... and those that have existing licences will be denied when their time comes to renew. I am beyond words....

Good to hear of all the good performances (and bragging rights ????) but lets not forget the masses of cyclists who with minimal training and starting late, having to endure the heat, pushed through to the finish for their own "personal victories". Well done!

Hello Gents Im hoping for first hand advice with regard to installing a Campy Record crank to a SWorks Roubaix SL3 frame with BB30 (or similar Spez). The bike is full on Record excepting for the crank which currently is SWorks. Seems like 3 options/ * Campy 42mm BB30 adaptor cups * Specialized adaptors * Press in alloy sleeve that regresses BB30 to an English threaded BB Watched a You Tube video where they installed a Press In sleeve and died a thousand deaths watching the forcing and effort required to eventually seat it! Could anyone with first hand experience possibly offer some advice as to which the most effective hassle free method would be? Many thanks

Watch out for the new(?) Extra charge from couriers listed as "Disbursement Fee". This gets added on to Shipping and Duties right at the end before delivery or collection may take place. An article valued at around R500 will have a "Disbursement Fee" of R150. Don't know whether this fee rises as the item value increases...

As a licensed and highly responsible firearm owner I hope to never need to have to use it but I also ride alone and have come to the conclusion that the "piece" goes with from now on. If I am attacked whilst riding and depending on the gravity, seriousness and to what extent they are armed I will defend myself. Whether you are attacked whilst riding or in your home or in your car or walking in the forest with the family on a Sunday morning the principle is the same........they are seriously looking for something to steal and will take a life in a split second and without any remorse. If I or my family are attacked and the situation clearly warrants it the perpetrator/s will pass away.....period.

Worth every cent of in the region of R40 000. May be a good idea to see out the UK winter and then sell there for the value and ease of sale vs long distance.

Ill probably get shot down for this...but here goes....wearing the PPA 1,5m yellow shirt should be compulsory for everyone as it teaches cyclists to obey the rules of the road....meaning that motorists by en large do become much more tolerant and aware of us out there. Ive been wearing it for a couple of months and it reminds me that I must stop at traffic lights etc and be courteous and obey the rules (irritating as it is!!), as after all Im wearing a bright message of safety. The result has been, by en large, very considerate drivers giving me space etc with gestures of thanks from both. Taken that not every motorist will show the same respect but at least we are "policing" ourselves aswell as reducing the potential risk.. Slightly off the topic....but safety related.

I hope this subject dies a sudden and decisive death. We really don't need this type of drivvel to become a subject worthy of merit......
