a dirt road from your house to the main road is not considered a MTB trail. We're talking about 4-6hr outings. just use your granny gears... then most rides is a +4hour outing
kenda karma at the back... low volume. schwalbe racing ralph front. just say a prayer for the karma everytime you go out on a rockey ride then everything should be fine.

couple of suggestions to help keep it nice and white for longer
- chain stay protection ?
- protection film on down tube
- protection film where cable housing touch the frame
- next time get them to put some cable housing on the rear derailieur cable along the seat stay.

I havent used the Eggbeaters before. But most guys seems to be happy with them. Some say there is some bearing problems or service issues. Don't know. Look Quartz is light, cheap and a lot of float(way more than SPD). Two negs for me is that I found them to unclip and they grind off at the contact point with shoe. The Crow seems to have good experience so maybe test them and see what works for your riding style. Mellow2009-05-21 05:29:42

personaly im not for music while racing, maybe on stage races... it can be dangerous when you dont hear a rider coming up from behind.
however, if you find yourself behind the ipod squad make sure you get ahead before the single track.
Do we allow deaf people to race ?
