  1. DCM Chrome is a mining company that sponsor a local pro cycling team. they ride conondale bikes. the reply was meant to be a joke. btw. good of you to post this. thx
  2. i've had the same effect on a girl once or twice....no one give me R490
  3. not saying this is the problem but... remember to shake the bottle well before putting in the stans and hold it upside down with you finger over the outlet for a couple of seconds. there is little bits that need to go in for the stans to work properly, it usually settles at the bottom of the bottle, so dont just pour it in. other then that... no idea why yours didnt work for a 2mm hole
  4. i can imagine nice vid tough
  5. very cool video... how did you guys stay in touch with each other ? seeing that i remember i had my hardest fall ever in hakerville last year... oh boy
  6. why is this thread still active ? is it still a MYSTERY ?
  7. the best when they "invite" you to ride and then you have to pay even more i love the logic ps. i voted 'disagree' : still think its not much to pay compared to other means of entertainment. dinner and flowers cost double that and it only lasts 12seconds
  8. if you want light and competative go for the notubes alpine or crest rims with american classic hubs rider weight of up to 85kgs should be fine. have a friend around 85kgs that raced on Notubes RC7000's 1.8/1.5 spokes hehe (but they flexed a hell of alot)
  9. i was thinking the exact same thing but then i thought about the argument that you can put the bike in your cars boot... either way i think its a waste
  10. does it have a derailieur and why ?
  11. i agree here with the last two posts. rather take more time than you think you need. so many guys make the mistake of not recovering completely and that just lead to futher injury or muscle imbalance when trying to protect the injury. i always use the following as a good measure : a scar takes about 6 weeks to recover completely, then the skin is still new tender. now muscles and tendons (soft tissue) that will be placed under stress need so much more time to heal. from personal experience (and doing it wrong once) i would sy take 16-20 weeks after the OP and start slow. good luck!
  12. Vernon and Chuck both drive bakkies with Bakkies written on the tailgate and sides.... its true
  13. aparantly befor Danie or Andries play for the boks they ask brakkies if he is ok with it...
  14. that is great. good luck!
  15. (not to self. dont read forums after having a couple to many) john, brakkies, matfield, schalk, fourie dp,morne,jacques... together these guys are the heart of our team. Our coach is a muppet and all he does is leave a gap for leadership and these players find it in each other. on brakkies He is not a decision maker,he is a work horse-and probably close to the best. i bet if you ask most players in the world which lock they want next to them as support and clearing the opposition it will be brakkies. Why, because its a team sport...the man has no fear (maybe no brains either, i dont know) no other lock has a pressnce like him and that is what matters when you are out there. Does he have a dicipline problem? maybe, but solve the problem. Maybe a shock therapy session or two? sa was outplayed by a better coached team. nz was brilliant on the attack(especially around the fringes between our no.9 and 10 channel). Their defense was quick to react and always put pressure on us. Think they got that from the first test against italy... nz is just a bit bigger and better so we came of second.... our weaknesses are: sloppy player no.1 step to many player no.9 wtf(out of position)player no.14 WTF(out of depth) head coach SLOW defensive lines if no.1 and no.9 stay we will lose all. (lets see if im wrong)
  16. ....ag ou Brakkies. Gee die ou (nog) 'n kans. Hy probeer net die game wen vir ons.
  17. what do car do you plan on transporting your defender with ?
  18. You know what CWC... this is why we support you. Thanks
  19. what more would you like them do ?
  20. All i can say is support Chris Willemse Cycles in Belville.... these guys go out of their way to beat prices and do not team up with all these jicheads
  21. if you put a tube in just keep the tubless valve (they cost around R100 new) or keep the stans conversion valve-strip. the LBS does nothing special to make it tubless again, if you did not damage the rim tape(usually yellow tape to cover the spoke holes on non-tubless rimms) they only put the tubless valve back, put some sealant in, and pump it up with compressor till it pops in. then spin the wheel(while moving from upright to side) so that the sealant seals where not air tight.
  22. you can remove the indicator on the XT shifters. If you take them off the bike you will see plates to cover the place where the indicators were when removed.
