    RIFLE

Most 270's are equipped with barrels better suited for 130gr bullets. Flat base bullets are usually less expensive than boat tails

A learning curve. Skoolgeld. After 38 years of reloading I still pay skoolgeld.
  4. Thanks A local bike shop said they could fix it.
  5. One of my older motorcycles (dt 50) has rust in the tank. A lot. Does anyone know of guys who can remove the rust and epoxy coat the inside?

Disarming the tax paying public does not have anything to do with crime prevention. And the NHI does not have anything to do with public health. It does have lots to do with total control.

Also check that the bullets are .270 bullets. And not .280(actually 7.2mm) or 7mm (these are actually 7.25 mm) bullets. Very similar these. Sometimes these measurements can produce headaches. And disasters. MOST .270 bullets are either 130 or 150gr.

Sometimes a bulge forms in the neck of the bass if you try to taper crimp? Overall cartridge length? Does store bought ammo fit in the chamber?
  9. This was a 'religious' thread from the beginning. The total intolerance towards others, sinners destroying the world. While they are the saviors.

I use tataric acid and sunlight liquid to clean dirty cases before tumbling. Never caustic soda.

  18. I have a crkt drifter. In 8cr13mov. Easy to sharpen. Takes a keen edge. Just do not expect premium edge holding from a R500 knife. Will i replace it with the same if i loose it? Yes
  19. See you there. Hope to be fit enough for the 90km
  20. Nasdaq did not like the taste of the "Beyond meat" burger
  21. Not really. Anyone with a pool will tell you that you can smell the chlorine. Meaning that it leaves the water. It is not a solid. If you heat the water the chlorine gas will leave the water faster. There are two reasons why pools need more chlorine in summer. One is that that algae grows better in warmer water and the other is chlorine leaving the warmer water faster. (higher kinetic energy)
  22. Watermelon season? Is it not a bit early?

    RIFLE

I despised silencers. Until I went for a hearing test. 100% true that it does not silence a rifle. The supersonic crack cannot be silenced. BUT it reduces the noise. Ear plus does not fully protect a person. Because of the bone conduction of the sound (through your skull) . And then there are the kids. The less kick and the less noise improves their accuracy dramatically. Of course they wear hearing protection as well. The boom reduction is very noticeable on indoor ranges. It also makes friends. Where rifles with regular muzzle brakes makes enemies of the other guys on the range. And then there is the possible damage of the crown of the barrel because of overheating is you don't allow for cooling between shots. The suppressor traps some of the heat. Heavy suppressors also makes a very light rifle top heavy if you carry it with a sling over your shoulder.
