  2. last mtb race i started in the rain cost me R1500, so if it rains i dont race...
  3. http://www.jetlineactionphoto.com/
  4. This is an expensive sport! Cost as much as golf... If u don't have the cash for the races don't do them, goodies bags have been crap for a long time now. Medals are plastic... As the sport becomes popular more people and companies are gonna try make millions out of ur love for the sport.
  5. Fedgroup could of marketed themselves better at the event as I'm sure they paid big money for that right.
  6. Race was fun, wind and all. Got to relocate as my tent was no longer in the same spot ofter day 2... Went for a tent with a view.
  7. maybe just ask the guy with the broken collar bone day 3, looked plenty technical for me and him too. I see u could of dropped of the escarpment if u really wanted too! all u hard ppl coming out here and complaining that a couple of rocks had been move need to keep im mind that the race organizer is trying to get 1000+ ppl home safe aswell. if you want a clear run get into A or B batch. by the way any one else have their tent blow away?
  8. Who took the photos? At the race...
  9. Ride with a 750ml and 500ml water bottle was more than enough, day 3 l forgot to take them. Water tables were awesome.
  10. who was doing the timing?
  11. Any of u guys get pics of day 1?
  12. Was hot, but u had plenty of water along the way. Much more of a technical ride compared to Sani...bought land many times, missing skin on my left side to prove it.
  13. have the same problem, the ergo grips sorted it out for me, don't think adding extra padding to the gloves will hurt either. try lighting ur grip as you maybe tense and squeezing to hard. grips:(i have tried) ESI chunky ESI extra chunky Ergo(using them currently) u may wanna try bar ends as the changing of hand positions helps alot. Strengthening you core will not help much! as only 25% of ur weight should be going through ur hands. If you on a bike with a aggressive geometry, it maybe a good idea to move to something with a more relaxed geometry(more upright). Long term solution and the best is to un-roof the ulnar never, ur medical aid will pay for it, making it cheaper than a new frame. hope this helps, from someone with the same problem.
  14. Hey guys, how does this compare to the trailseekers? Have done the 70km on VG and hakanhana...-aaaa.....
  15. Missed it what's up with all the likes?
  16. Solomon's to buy stuff, the cycle hub for labour.
  17. Just another way to spend money u haven't earned yet...
  18. What I have learnt from all the LA posts is that man love runs deep here on the hub... Nothing like giving another guy a wink from 12000km.
  19. This has been another random LA post, the dope worked best on him and his ego got the best of him! Level playing field argument has no truth in it, as all rides reacted differently to the drugs while some had massive improvents others had very little. Sit back relax for 7-10 years till they can test for the stuff the current bunch is on and we can do this all again! Can't wait...
  20. First question who is Steve smith?
  21. My 72kg work well on ZTR crests...anti buffalo setup....just learnt not to borrow my bike to buffalo size friends.
  22. We talking buffalo wheels here and cutting back on the buffalo wings right?
  23. cause and effect... accountants on Harley's like to take risks as long as its off the book.
  24. cant tell till u see the driver, looks like a 26er baggie man..
  25. the best way to sort this out, is to ask someone who doesn't follow cycling! as most of u on the hub have an interest in the sport u will know about the DH events etc. I dont know who most of these people are but i do know Darryl Impey and robbie hunter thanks to the exploits at the TDF.
