  14. its to clear the roads for the emergency services due to high fire risk in strong winds - Hout Bay was already hit hard and lots of people displaced OR lost everything they owned - so if you don't want to waste your 10k go and assist some people that lost everything in the fires in Hout Bay yesterday - it may also change your perspective on life a little

  16. I think if it was regular cyclists taking part in the wind no issue , but there are 30 000 people that only ever rides their bike twice a year and they are not used to a little air moving around that could be dangerous

  20. My take is rock up with the money - first to pay gets the stuff if you only have money next week and some one else arrives with the money then its sold to the first person that puts the money down Ratings should be done as well how else will any one know
  21. endurance is key - do some ling rides like 150's and 200's and do at least one or two weekends where you do a 150 and another 150 or longer so you get an idea of what to expect the last 160km is all mindgames, but endurance is key. You may feel great at 180km and hit the wall at 200km - also pace and just keep going its an awesome race - so well organized
  22. The race was really super cool - lots of different terrain and tough climbs - well organised I really enjoyed this race - glad it was a bit cooler
