    I had chain suck once with a 2 x in muddy conditions and could not complete the race 1 x never had that issues ever again - that was the reason why I changed and loved the simplicity ever since - so for me personally its better

    Does any one know about the details of this incident, I cycled this road every day and this is a new development to me. I am aware of the Bloemendaler incident Seems like a increase of hijacks and stolen bikes in Durbanville this last week or so

    Durbanville police have issued a warning after a cyclist was robbed on Wednesday. Police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Theo Fisher says a cyclist was approached by two suspects in Wellington Road. “The cyclist was robbed and they fled the scene with his mountain bike.” Fisher says the criminals are targeting cyclists along Wellington Road between Dumonte and Boland streets. Commuters / Sport Cyclists are advised to cycle to or from work / training in groups.

    I signed up thinking its the new 2 days race event just to see its not for this one and the elevation is a bit dissapointing if correct at 319 m even for some one that does not like climbing thats an insult

    I am really wondering how many people can afford it at that price point - and that brings me to the question of how expensive cycling is. I think a large contribution to this is that cycling is a "PARTS" business. Frame brakes groupset tryes and one can mix and match as you want , but this makes it expensive as the complete bike is mostly put together by expensive parts and every "parts" manufaturer wants their profit. A motorcycle is also parts put together but is mostly sold to the consumer as one article and yes you can change the parts but in general its bought as a single unit from one manufacturer. The industry has trained us to be willing to pay for expensive parts - what is so much different from the XX1 to the Eagle that makes it WAY more expensive , one more casette ring ? I like the idea , but I am not willing to spend that much money on consumables

    they just preped us with XX1 now we think XX1 is cheap what comes after eagle will be even more expensive

    probably around 7-9k depending which one and that probably only last 4-6000km - so twice a year if you ride allot - that is crazeeee money

    haven't done a technical MTB race in a while and this was a great race - all kinds of terrain to challenge you - first one on a dual sus and I loved the bike eating the terrain for bfast Loved it - ill take grass polls any day over the office - just saying

    Groenkloof should warn people that are unaware when they enter the property that these attacks are happening as its a HUGE safety concern - they just keep letting people in knowing there is a riks - when will it action be taken by the police - when some one gets brutally murdered there ?
