You cannot compare the two. the only thing in common is the fact that you use a bicycle. It's two completely diferent diceplins. I get bored out of my mind on a road bike, but let me ride that same road on a fixie , and it's all cheese. If I had to do the same section of road on my mtb, "CRAP!". You know what I mean. So let's stop trying to see who is the greatest, and respect each other for the disepline whe enjoy. I wish I can Climb like a roadie, DH like a madman. And do the technical stuff like a true MTB CHAMP...

I'm in the same peramaters, and manage to take my hartrate over 200 for 2 - 3 mins. But don't worry to much about it. I agree with you on the heartrate monitor, it messes with your mind. Listen to your body.

I did the 54k, and I am tired. came in at 2:44. After two breakdowns that cost me 10mins. The route was rough and the single track was awsome, espacialy the part in the forest. FPC could do better, but good show on average...

I want to fit a set of base tri bars, with a brake lever to match. I fited a old campy brake caliper, the closed triangular one.

So here's the plan... Whe have the folowing people up for it. Thug, MarkStockton, Peach, Steel niner, Turtlek, HR, NIckm, Matick and ciclismo(with or without hanover) last but not least, Brad@theriot. So the plan is to meet at the Jhb zoo parking, then leave at say 9:00 on to greenside (route to follow) back to rosebank via backstreets. Any segestions are welcome. And bring friends. Maybe have a show and shine atthe same time with a swopmeet. Let's just ride the pipes...
