Why struggle to look for a path when there is an easy way you to get to the start and just ride! There were at least seven ways to get up while I was studying. But the school way is the easiest

The terrain is tough to work with and will take time to develop a few long rideable sections. Work in progress.

On Strava you can see a small loop. I will be doing a longer section up there over the weekend so wil log that and you can see whats available by Monday...

I took the wrong weekend to go down to Durbs, coming down the following week for some riding.

Been riding there for ages while I was still studying in PTA, my buddy and I were prob doing that section from the school to the quarry and back 2-3 times a week! I am glad somebody made it official now, might need to make a trip to PTA for old times sake

I hope you can catch someone and make an example of them!

Bobbo SA, I am confused, your post said Protection and UST the same but on Continentals website the sidewall of Protection = 240 TPI and UST = 330 TPI and the UST version weight is roughly 100g more for 26inch, and no 29 inch UST available for the x-kings Also only Protection versions has Black Chilli compound. I dont agree they the same tyres.

Ust is UST! Universal standard, made to work with UST rims Thicker sidewalls and heavier then protection versions Have UST X-Kings - have never had an issue in 14months since fitted!

Just buy 3 while you are at it and keep one in your Camelback and one spare at home.... Been riding for 8years never needed it. Bought a spare a few weeks ago and my last ride out I broke mine! Boy was I happy I had a spare on me!

Any stories good or bad out there? I see this stuff in some shops but not much talk about them going around and have not seen many people riding it out there. They seem good quality and nice and lightweight to me. What do you guys think?

See if you can get last years results and see what the slowest time was.

Just start with the Green one and do a few blue loops. They all come back to the green loop, so wont get lost. And going up/down those section you wont have time to look at maps... You'll be hanging on to your handlebars!
