Well that is just silly, my tow rope isn't nearly long enough for that!

Well there is a story behind that, I made a mistake when I did the online entry and entered in the seeded/batched category and have ended up in group P. I'm hoping to be able to change it on Thursday at registration to be in the MTB group.

Im doing my first long one this year on my MTB. its going to be awesome,a group of us wanna do 4 hours if anyone is keen to make up a bus I'll be carrying a sneaky tow rope for the climbs Oh and I'll be wearing a future life T-Shirt, and white Helmet, riding "Monty" the awesome Mongoose!
  4. I don't like bargaining with people and I don't like people trying to bargain with me. I will always ask the seller if that is their best price but that's as far as it goes. A few months back I bought a bike for my wife, when I went to view the bike the seller said there was someone else interested in it. I said I don't want to jump the cue so he should call the other buyer and see if he is still interested, which he wasn't and I took the bike. To me its just common decency!
  5. Absolutely Awesome!
  6. I'm definitely in, especially since I missed the last one!
  7. Awesome Ride in Eastern Cape, just me and Monty the Mongoose
  8. +1 definitely! maybe with a how much the trails entrance fee is and what facilities are available at trail centers? So riders know what to expect or if they can bring their families along

  11. Shame thats Horrible news. RIP
  12. I tried switching off the auto pause on mine during the ride - still didnt help, it just read zero speed and stopped mapping the ride.
  13. I had the same problem with my edge 500, it just decided to stop working 20k's into the ride, I kind of came to the conclusion that it was the rear wheel I was using (I swapped it for the ride while I was getting my new hub put on my original wheel) when I put my original wheel back on it worked fine again - pretty weird!
  14. 1st one for me too, doing it on my mongoose dual suspension MTB, aiming to get in around the 4 hour mark
  15. Just jump on your bike and get lost thats the most fun to have on 2 wheels!

  18. Check the rim size - 29" and tire size - 26" It must have been mighty hard fitting them tires!
  19. Started my First Hill2Hill race yesterday on 2x9 set up, and finished on a single speed after breaking my rear derailer hanger shortly after bartletts, and then got a flat tire just before hammarsdale. it was an interestind day out but serious fun! Cant wait for next year, at least I set a time that will be easy to beat
  20. So does anyone know if we are going down the switchbacks in Summerveld on the 105 km race? I've heard some people say we are others say they have taken them out because its too technical for that stage of the race!?!
  21. This is off an older forum but still a classic!
