I still say if we have a medal thing it would be nice to have it like the comrades...split by time finishers getting different bronze, silver or gold and finisher medals. I personally don't need a medal and would rather race for podium but as no.one.knows says, SA is big on funriders and we need to nurture that.

I wouldn't quite say it really is going to make you that much faster honestly, but it will be more efficient and therefore you won't get tired as quickly, so you will overall on longer rides be able to have a faster average!! If you expect though to suddenly stick with a bunch you never have, don't expect miracles.

And you wonder why our beautiful country looks so ugly!! All the rubbish in the veld makes me angry everyday i ride....it's sooo sad!!

Hmmm, sounds to me like you might need to take it in for a full service...Something is definitely not right. So you fixed the free-wheel and you still getting an awful sound?? Makes no sense to me... You sure they put it on correctly??

Di CPD...when you just pick up the bike spin your back wheel do your pedals start moving?? It sounds to me like you may need a new free-wheel body, that will also make your gears jump and it makes a screeching type sound when you free wheel??

My one friend has shorts with a chamois as well as one of those gel saddle covers...maybe try that as those saddles really aren't female friendly. At least her own bike she can choose the saddle!!
