  1. Hi WW' date=' Yes, I have changed teams:-) Long story...not for the hub! Basically I wasn't happy there. CycleLab are a very nice team, very organized, look after you well and I feel like I could grow here a lot more so we'll see how it goes... Been sick the last few weeks and then had a crash during the race so hoping things will get better! Winter has been tough! [/quote'] I can fully understand I think Shame man, hope things get better. Just remember it makes you a better cyclist and person int he long run. Vastbyt!!!
  2. Good to see he's getting a sense of humour in his old age What ugly bikes!!
  3. how can there be 2 national winners be in in the Vets? Or did the Vets 50-100 meet up with the Vets 100-200? Mampara, what you smoking??? I think it's the VA and VB national champs together.
  4. It's only you Jackes, we can all see the pics perfectly
  5. What are you on about Jackes??? Can sopmeone tell me the toal ascent we did for the Jock this year please???
  6. Flemish....what we're wondering is why is Slo-Jo now with Cycle Lab and not Nashua anymore??? I was shocked when I saw this.
  7. You have to use the correct grease, otherwise don't waste your time!!
  8. Jackes, both you two aren't really cyclists to begin with. You haven't spent much time on the bike before she was pregnant...I think you're both going to not see a bike for another year or two. It has bugger all to do with your wife's body
  9. Thanks for the heads up Wendell. It's really sad, hope the police get them!!!
  10. You guys are right, you could see LA was on his limit and suffering. Which therefore means he was chasing. How can you chase down your own team-mate???? Guess he did have Andy to use as a scape goat.
  11. Finally' date=' someone said it. When AC went I would have expected LA and AK to sit on and make the Shleck bunch chase...but not a chance LA instructed AK to ride "Tempo" (!)[/quote'] Isn't it better tactics what they did. They kinda kept the bunch back while Contador went, gave him more time for a bigger gap and only after a while did the rest of the boytjies go chase. And when they did, Lance still couldn't go with them.
  12. Bet you he's thinking...."please don't slobber on me, please don't slobber on me". Dirt*Girl, you're weird!!!
  13. I've just learnt some interesting news....so here's a new decision firstly on how to make the woman race harder and secondly how to give them equal prize money. I've heard that they're earning exhorbitant salaries which I believe they don't even deserve half that amount. I nearly fell off my bike when I heard what some of the ladies are earning. Maybe if you're a top world class cyclist you can earn that but really, it is ridiculous!! So, why not take away those ridiculous salaries and start making the ladies race for their pay. They can earn a basic minimum and then use that extra money in the prize money of races to make them race for their pay. They don't need the prize money with the salaries they're getting so why race for it.....what do you think???
  14. Well I am a bit opposite, I helped my hubby choose his bike...had mine waaayyy before he did And I'll kick his butt anyday
  15. Newby, funny enough I'd also say soft tail...a hard tail bike is a bit less forgiving both on the body and when you start with the technical stuff. But then that depends if you have the finances for that, unfortunately a decent soft tail will cost a bit more. What does she do now to keep fit?? and if she is, she'll enjoy the mtb, I love it, gives you a bit of the thrill gymnastics does when it came to trying new moves and she should be used to falling and she knows how to so won't hurt herself badly. She's an ex-gymnast, means she should have power and strength, don't under-estimate her too much.
  16. so shut up then! Don't talk, just kiss!!!
  17. I mountain bike to enjoy the bush and the peace and quiet and the animals. Why go spoil it with music Silence sometimes is good...
  18. I must admit, with the earpieces one gets a feeling that the person in the car is telling his team what to do and when to do it. That just makes the cyclists pawns on a chess board. with that in mind i like the idea of no radios. However, there are places for the radios with regards to punctures and falls etc. I still think radios should be allowed by that cyclists can talk to each other and to the car but the car cannot communicate to the cyclists... Don't know how you'd enforce that though??? Any ideas??
  19. I personally find it has been more exciting than the usal first week of the tour.... The worst was Lance and his train...now that was boring... Give the guys time, they'll start coming out to play.
  20. Busy watching this on the telly. There was one section you had to pick the bike up and climb up a rather steep section. How many guys I saw suffering trying to carry two bikes while their ladies just trot behind The one poor guy was like falling over and losing traction with both bikes and the female just stood there looking stupid.... How disgraceful ladies....if you wanna do MTBiking do it properly.
  21. With a name like gasping, I surely don't picture any macho man
