  1. Update on ongoing router table project. I got all safety added and used it for other tools while working on table. The height adjustment from top caused a huge @#$%#&%&. I am working on alternative solution that will work and look good. Unfortunately I moved to friends for work time as ex watching daughter during the day. I am actually more productive etc etc etc. (other than router table work i could do during lunch)
  2. Managed to fix wheel issues check google album. Overkill for the win....... O yes also has estop now
  3. Yes thats where i found it! And yes I know about the tool starting the thread and its part of reason for post
  4. Can't seem to edit post on phone, the e-stop will be added was out of stock/closed while I was shopping.
  5. Ill check that would be useful, The feet screw out as we welded nuts inside the leg. Unforunately the welding failed as it was done from outside and the cleaning removed all the weld strenght. so the feet came off with me pushing on table lightly. Fortunately before I used the table.
  6. Added just a bit of old school beauty my dad found in the one crate that will now be used.
  7. Router Table is done with some metal work however. It has lockable adjustable wheels and on off switch via normal plug as ill have to override the hand held function. https://photos.app.goo.gl/MaizvfzzApNXeS7L6 Enjoy guys im happy with it and now I can start the real woodwork project.
  8. Honestly depends on what you own, if you want free to play, or if your buying. Also depends multiplayer? Right now Tabletop simulator is one of my top games because i get to do boardgames with friends that we used to do IRL
  9. That is impressive! My Ender is a frankenmonster now. I love it but if i have money for another printer that isnt second hand cheapie. Ill be going for prusa mini, the size is perfect for most of my needs and it's got the prusa support behind it.
  10. battle royal, everyone drops into game loots up and kills each other.Last guy gets to say yay I won.
  11. Original? Im jealous! those are epic and should work flawlessly
  12. So Here is what I have of printer
  13. So havnt been doing much woodwork yet, but here is a bit. Built a raiser for my screen I also made router attachment so we can turn it into a router table using sheet of Alu. 3d Printed a center line tool and sanding block for tiny corners.
  14. Rocket Fusion is a beast. Its like solidworks or rhino or or or. Practice makes perfect, I use discord and if you want to try things and have a chat re best ways we can try arrange it. I am no expert but I have learned some tricks that make it easier down the line.
  15. ABS for something that requires heat/UV applications. PETG for more durable part. PLA is stronger than both instantaneously, but over time it will deform. Almost like liquid flowing away from pressure over time. ABS shrinks when printed making it hard to print and without enclosure success is very rare. PETG prints like PLA from what i understand but doesn't deform over time it does sometimes take a bit more testing to get print quality good. Mounts and such test print PLA. Use print ABS or PETG ABS releases toxic gasses when printing do not print it excessively in same room your staying without proper venting to outside or proper filtering.
  16. I use Fusion360, But busy trying prusa slicer atm for ender3 so far its okish, only 2 prints in.
  17. So I found most of the photos. https://photos.app.goo.gl/pd5nKix5mPWMLin47 Hope the link works, It starts with unboxing and first print(this included a filament swap with stock machine. Ends off with newest upgrade a tapped pneumatic insert to hold some guide PTFE tube for into the extruder. Its not all of the pictures but most.
  18. Your likely gonna want something that just runs, time likely wont be your limit so ender3 should be fine. If your looking to print other than PLA might have issues.
  19. I got friends that throws that, I have played a little as well its fun but tbh I have put in too many hours over the years.
  20. You don't perhaps have double bed plans for this type of thing?
  21. COD Warzone is a #@*$&@%@*^, It's a 80gb download with a weekly 14GB update.... This is not acceptable for me I dont have the data for that (normally id go copy it at friend). Also its 3 player only no duo's making it a weird number of players for my group as we always too many or too few.
  22. Personally right now I would buy a Ender 5 if I could stretch the budget a bit (they around 6k). Ender3 is a good starting point. Out the box you can get decent prints with stock parts. Check the XT90 connectors and the Power supply fan voltage. Also rewire the fan for mainboard directly to 24v for always on. Get glass plate and glue stick once you manage to damage original print surface(its gonna happen don't worry not best surface anyways). After that you can either upgrade parts like me or just run it. I do agree parts are nowhere near that of the HP stuff. Running costs depend Hotend thermistor and cartridge cost me R100. Nozzles around R40 each. Glass bed was R50 Glue stick R10? didn't check tbh. Filament is anywhere from R260 a roll up depending what your buying. Ender 3 does pla well for ABS your gonna need enclosure. I have Petg havnt used it yet but will try it at some point (always use glue stick with PETG it sticks to bare glass and wont release). A roll of filament can go a long way but often you find yourself going ooooo nice colour that will look so good for that part in that spot, or kids will love it but in pink....... Somewhat like cycling, the filament can get costly. Personally I imported my printer more than year ago, worked out to R3800 landed with duties. You will be hard pressed to get that pricing anytime soon again due to shipping issues. Watch youtube videos setting about setting it up it will make life lot easier. I enjoy it because its a creative engineering outlet I don't get elsewhere. I also like fiddling and it allows me to prototype projects myself in parts quickly before final prints. one eg I tried to make a mount for BFPtouch on the Petsfang cooler, did about 8 versions before I got one that worked. In my experience shipping would be a killer for something like that.
  23. So this thread is old (very old) but im doing a lot of 3d printing for myself and customizing etc, there has been some talking about it in other threads but figure better have something dedicated. What am I running, Creality Ender3 Modifications: SKR1.3 Mainboard with TMC2209 Drivers and one DRV for extruder. Alu Extruder replacement. Cheap Glass bed Bed Handle (ABS 110bed this helps) Cable chain guides currently being installed as part of preparation for the Enclosure im building. Hero Me cooling mount customized for a better fit between parts. BFPtouch bed leveling using optical endstop and Servo to stow probe (0.0077 accuracy). Blower fan. Cork insulation under bed to maintain temp easier (this works way to well takes forever to cool down). Quick Clip interfacing at hotend and board side to assist with easier fault finding and repair/replacement. Future upgrades planned: Belt Tentioners (metal custom made as i have access to machining tools at work) Enclosure for better prints will be using left over Isoboard I have from the Bathroom renovation stuffs insulating and fire resistant (used some to make a tool holder it melts but doesn't catch fire and doesn't drip). Volcano hotend upgrade (maybe not sure if this really needed atm) Replacement hotend carriage from Alu or steel that alows for quick tool change to laser or cutter (this is very long term and still on fence about it). I am also attempting to upgrade extruder to geared one but had some failed parts and honestly not sure i saw improved prints when I had it running). Ill post some pictures etc of stuff I have made etc later today, I also printed around 20 face shields for doctors at start of lockdown, however the shortage of material and printer maintenance makes me hesitant to start that again as parts and filament are impossible to source atm. I can also not carry the costs of handing these out free like some of the organised groups are doing.
  24. Im doing Overwatch, and World of warcraft free server (its to join friends mostly) Also doing boardgames via Tabletop Simulator with my usual friends as a social experience
  25. Thats the plan yes! I love the storage under bed idea and want to do something like that. I have access to alot of pine but its unfinished etc lot of finishing work. As for it being creaky well now the bed was made to take apart..... and if incorrectly assembled its gonna creak, to get out of room ill take it apart...... since i wont be putting it together again I smile imagining the swearing and wtf's. as its a careful fit with hidden pockets.
