  1. Same here
  2. Today's stage is one of the best I have seen in years.
  3. Yes, DSTV has the broadcasting rights. Last year the mtb world champs was live (and free) on Redbull.tv. I missed the one race and wanted to watch it delayed on Redbull, as I could do with other races. But I could not, because it was geo blocked
  4. Enjoy the new bike. Any helmet from Bell, Giro, Lazer or Rudy Project will be fine. Make sure it fits snug without fastening the chin strap.
  5. I have a Bontrager one that can be turned for left or right access. Works well, and no bottles dropped during 2 years of use. They are pricey though
  6. For me bigger is better. This bag can take all your spares, a full extra set of clothing and a proper lunch. I usually stuff a tent in it to stop things from rattling
  7. The short answer, yes you can (well definitely from 9 - 10 speed)
  8. My Habit, with TRP G Spec Trail S brakes
  9. These guys are moving! Check the average speed on the live tracker
  10. *morning coffee on keyboard
  11. I bought a "decent" pair of flat pedals from Sportsmans warehouse. https://www.sportsmanswarehouse.co.za/concept-platform-pedal-c1139603 Although I would not take on an Enduro race with them, they have ample grip and a good size platform
  12. Does the crank have a pre load adjuster (between crank arm and bb on the crank axle)? Maybe this is not tightened correctly.
  13. I would search this forum's classifieds.
  14. I would first replace the gear cable and maybe cable housings, then flush the shifter with silicon spray or Q20
  15. This is for a Cannondale Habit, but the principle will apply. The maximum fork length that the frame is designed for. I this case it works out to about a 140mm Rockshox fork, although my bike was sold with a 120mm fork. Look trough the specifications and try find the max fork length
  16. Entry level Shimano Road pedals. Good quality no nonsense. https://www.evobikes.co.za/components/road-pedals/shimano-pd-r540-road-pedals-black.html
  17. I got these new TRP G Spec Trail brakes and discs from a fellow hubber. Can't wait to try it in the mountains
  18. Hi. Welcome to the Hub. Any new bike at R10k will tick the right boxes when starting out. Keep in mind that a proper helmet and riding shorts are also very important. Steer clear of the big department stores (Sportsmans Warehouse, Makro and Game). Their staff generally are not to clued up on cycling. Any proper bike shop will be able to help you
  19. CO2 Bomb in my pocket.
  20. I use one of these. It takes just a tube and tire levers.
  21. I looked at putting a longer travel fork on my Cannondale Habit (120mm). I found this in the bike's spec document The maximum fork length (from the fork crown to center of wheel axle). This I believe is the preferred design dimensions to keep the geometry of the bike to what it was intended to be. Looking at the charts that you posted, it seems that the intended fork for your bike is a 160mm. I think you will be fine with a 150mm 29 er
  22. Thanks Morne That helps a lot
  23. I have a Cannondale Habit with a Rock Shox Recon fork and Formula hubs. The rear is a 142 x 12 mm thru axle and the fork is a 100 x 15 mm thru axle. The thru axles are different brands (front is KCNC and rear Formula) I am keen to replace both with stealth type axles. Are all 142 x 15 mm and 100 x 12 mm thru axles compatible, or are they bike / fork specific?
