  1. They did it last year as well.
  2. Pump it up first. If that does not sort it out, then service it. I have a lefty 1 on my bike, and the bearing reset can be done diy.
  3. Rode the Darling Ride and Run 33 km route today. Well worth it and a great atmosphere
  4. For mountain biking, I watch on Redbull.tv. or the UCI's website. Better commentating and NO add breaks. For road cycling, I am yet to find an alternative
  5. The exact reason I did not enter.
  6. Eden and Mont Mari in Stellenbosch
  7. At 3 years and 3 months old I got my son a 16" Silverback, without training wheels. The bike is mountain bike ish. I found that they handle the bike better with a lower handle bar (and lower center of gravity). For starters, move the saddle forward and roll the handles back to shorten the reach. The first pic is from August 2019, the day he got his new bike, the second pic is from December last year...
  8. These commentators are terrible today
  9. Agree. Also vey biased towards the Brits / British based teams.
  10. Great! Enjoy the bike Before buying a new saddle, play with the tilt. A few degrees up or down can make a huge difference.
  11. I get goose bumps every time I watch this replay
  12. You may ride the Aurgust with it
  13. As far as I know, Toy Kingdom sells these, otherwise, buy second hand.
  14. JD Bug ticks all those boxes except for the foot rests, but have a special pedal box that can be fitted. Both my kids had these. They are very well built and nearly indestructible.
  15. Some also add ground pepper for the enviroment

    Stand-up

I watched Ali Eldjarn on Netflix. I found him very funny.
  17. I always yield when crossing roads while on cycle paths. In theory one should not have to, but we live in a country where very few road users actually know or adhere to traffic rules (4 way stops, traffic circles etc). Us cyclists must be the "awake" ones and adopt a defensive riding style. Unfortunately you will be hard pressed to convince Mr Grootbakkie or Polo Cow that they were in the wrong.
  18. True that
  19. I went through this exercise in the beginning of the year. My daughter is 6. The first 20" I got was a Surge. It was on the heavy side, and had a poor geometry (top tube was too high and the head angle too steep). I the sold it and got a Giant. Lighter, and a better geometry. She enjoys this bike more than the Surge. As for the grip shift, she struggles to twist it, but have figured out how to use gears. Make sure that the pedals have good grip and don't inflate the tires past 1 bar. The main important things for my daughter is the geometry and the colour
  20. The trails are on both sides of the R44. You start on the mountain side of the R44, and then cross to the ocean side, and later back to the mountain side. A day permit is R50, but a year permit is R250 (two hundred and fifty)
  21. As far as I know, no SA ladies on that level.
  22. I rode some of the Kleinmond MTB trails this weekend. It goes from Kleinmond towards Arabella and is clearly marked. There are three routes, we did the "Red" route. I would recommend it for any one going out to that area. Day permits can be bought at the SASOL garage in Kleinmond
  23. Looks good
