  2. Can someone repost that link to the spreadsheet with all the riders in the different start times. Keen to meet up with some guys riding E before the ride
  3. You should comfortably make the cut off - main thing is to enjoy it!! Remember to apply Sun Block!!!!
  4. Picked up race pack today, looked empty at the queries so thought i would try and get a reseeding - fairly effortless jumped from J to E
  5. Anyone know what time the expo is open until today and tomorrows times?
  6. Replacement carbon rim arrived this morning, rushed it to the wheel builder now so HOPEFULLY will be ready to race this weekend - shame the gent is trying his best to fit it in between all the road bikes for the 94.7
  7. NICE - is that FM066? Where is it from?Any news on the stolen bike
  8. Something def seems fishy, but surely If it were an insurance scam you can think of a better place to off load the frame
  9. Neo is ready to ride! Got the frame from the sprayer yesterday, was at the bike shop this morning and collected the completed bike this afternoon! Keen to give it a go this weekend. Since i have stuffed up my front carbon clincher (replace in the post) i cant actually see what is will look like in 'race mode' rather chuffed with the outcome
  10. There is alot of guys anti it and alot of guys (myself included) which believe the risk is fairly limited (road bike more so than MTB) mainly due to the actual terrain in which you drive on. MTB races tend to be little off road with the corrugated roads and potential for hitting holes this can potentially be a risk.Sure a standing bike rack would be better, however i dont believe the massive cost different warrants it. As long as the bike is secured very well on the top bar as well as with the 'belt' around the frame it should be fine out of interest how does relate to the Chinese carbon thread you posted on ?
  11. Cycle delic did the paint work. Sat with the lady with a few images from the net and then customized it
  12. Frame been painted, sending in for build tomorrow
  13. Tires were pumped to 7 Bar, HongFu has been great with this problem. Replacement rim is on its way to me already at no cost to me (apart from Duty) and then i will need to get the wheel built - but can live with thatPicking up the frame from the sprayer today!
  14. Please don't be like so many of the other chops out there riding with fake wheels/and frame. Get yourself an unbranded frame and wheels, get some decals made and customize it. Riding around with rims that have a ZIPP stickers on them and Novatec hubs is kinda cheesy (my view anyway!)
  15. There must be a serious syndicate operating at the rate at which bikes are been stolen down in CT Sad
  16. Was a lovely race, and very well organized - Even for the family that was waiting at the end, lots for them to do and entertain themselves while waiting
  17. you are correct
  18. Going to Kwa Maritane game reserve (Pilanesberg) this coming weekend and was wondering if there are any easily accessible mountain bike tracks around that area looking for +-50KM route
  19. perfect!
  20. please send us the virtual partner so that we can track ourselves, one has to keep something in the tank for the end so if tracking ahead of plan then we can slow it down
  21. yes it was, and everything was perfect once i got to Durban took the bike for a spin when arrived on the SatHad to pump the tires up (pumped to 7 bars) maybe the slight change is pressure from Durban to PMB (although have my doubts)
  22. With regards to my nice new rims, got down to Amashova start and had a flat front tire, starting changing the tube and noticed this had happened to my rim - completely stuffed and unsafe to ride.By an absolute stroke of luck, the guy in the car next to me offered me a spare wheel it worked out to be @PROZAC (from the hub unknown at that time) - a true gentleman! Had 3.14 minutes (mind not completely in the race) to ponder as to what on earth happened to the new rim. The rim tape had been pushed through the spoke hole and the tube has a slash about 1cm in length. The tire is absolutely perfect. Still not 100% sure as to what exactly happened. Got my office in HK to speak to Hongfu directly, they seem puzzled but had immediately said a new front rim will be sent out Monday/Tuesday next week. Impressive service i must say (will confirm once the rim has actually been sent and arrived in SA) Frame is at the sprayer and will be ready late next week
  23. Sorry to hear this man!! Your bike is very unique and will be hard to off load, hope you get it back!!
  24. I like the idea even earlier than the 10th would also been good!
