Taking part in this event is a no-brainer - apart from the fact that it is an awesome event that has taken place since 2018, it serves as bespoke preparation for the remaining 2 GC XCO Cup Race #3 & 4 that constitute part of the 2020 GC XCO Performance log! Interesting to see the ladies start shortly after the men. 7min on the DH course?! Now they race that in 3min... Was also strange to hear the commentator refer to the drivetrain as the shifting system. amazing how bike tech has evolved.

Got a 9 speed 12-32 cassette. Still rocking the Tiagra 10 years later. It’s so cheap to maintain so I am saving the MTB a bit. Tired of grinding up 12-15% gradients on a 39 and 28 combo (at first it was a 23) especially on a long ride. Living in a very hilly area. Hills are either straight up or straight down. Will be getting a hanger extender from Rapidé. ????????????

This reminded me of the time I took a guy to Wolwespruit, the black diamond section. I said, it can’t be that bad, so we went. 3 seconds later I heard a noise. He went over the bars, into a bush and broke his handlebar in half ???? Felt soooo bad. But had to stop myself from laughing.

I have the same problem. Relinked devices. Active days show up, but no points for the month of May. Still have 14 points left to score.

Details of the Eliminator series to be released on 8 June. Up to 4 cyclists race one lap around a 400m MTB track. Two fastest riders advance to the next round. Slowest riders are eliminated.

Please take note that the number of laps as indicated can still be amended should circumstances require it. Also, should the minimum numbers as prescribed by CSA/UCI not enter in your category, you may be required to race with the next stronger category. The race track for Race #1 looks as follows, offering 152m of vertical ascend on each 4,25km lap. Nippers and Sprogs will race on a shortened track of 3,4km offering 120m vertical ascend per lap: Mountain bike XCO is an extreme sport and the event will continue even if it rains - cancelling the event will only be considered in the case of life threatening conditions for contestants.

NX chain lasted 1900km for me and it was totally worn. Now on KMC gold/black titanium coated and rainbow xx1, swopping them every 1000km and no sign of wear so far. GX cassette on 2200km and that already beats the poor NX cassette. Started slipping gears after about 2000km. NX is clearly not worth it.
