Don't read into that, the article was written by Kevin McCallum, a mate to many of MTB'ers in SA, so KE was being candid with a mate who happens to be a journo. I feel for KE, he must be shattered and the article was written nicely without bias, it's nice to have a bit of info and and answer without too much info, and still being honorable to his sponsors.

Possibly, but KE has been one of the most consistent riders in SA, I will almost be willing to say he's results have been worse since partnering with DG'S, he won the national title before DG, not with him, held the yellow jersey at the Epic before, with Lakata until Lakata exploded his wheel, KE ride the *** into Lakata at that Epic, various roadie titles befor DG also, a 9th at worlds before DG, I've convinced myself actually, partnering with DG has in more ways than one been bad for King Kevin.

I read via TheOldCootBiker on twitter (owner of Scott Sports SA) that Kevin is not allowed to make any comments or statements until Nebank allow him to. This is fair and makes sense, stop the rumour mill and speculation, and stop looking for conspiracy stories, all will come out the wash eventually.

Most people are actually an apathetic bunch, happy to blast dopers whom get caught, but also not prepared to do much to stop it. What effect does a doper actually have on your life? I for one ride my bike for selfish reasons, when I'm on the bike it's about me and the trail, and having a jol with my mates, I will never compete at the top level so it is ultimately inconsequential. I feel more sorry for the team mates that need the sponsors, but they need to be prepared to rat on their doping partners, and how much of that have we seen? Easy to enjoy when the goings are good and turning a blind eye, and just as easy to mount the highest of horses when they get binned.

Testing sub vets makes sense, often these people have serious money, as at that age you are generally in your earning prime, and cock measuring contests between 35's is also at their prime. It's all about checking results of the race on a Monday and mailing your mates to see who has bragging rights for the week.

After reading DG's statement again, I realized how arrogant it actually is, don't bother with the B I'm guilty, you suckers, throw the book at me, I've made my money.
