  1. Ashley Road this morning. Drop me a message if it’s yours.
  2. Thanks Wheelsuck those both look doable! Will def give them a try!
  3. Thanks shaper! Any particular HIIT bike sessions you'd reccomend? Don't want to over do it.
  4. Hahaha yup I'm an 85 baby, and would say average fitness! Thanks for the advice- will def keep it slow and steady! Temptation is to klap it on the bike HIIT sessions as that's where I'm coming from, but the legs just say hell no!
  5. Noob question here! Regarding intensity of cycling intervals on the watt bike. Normally I would do HIIT twice a week and kill myself, but now I'm swimming or running in the morning (because one sport is not enough), so the HIIT bike afternoon workout I can't manage the same intensity. Should I be doing just tempo steady stuff or longer easier sessions? Thanks ahead.
  6. Hey fellow togs I'm selling my Nikon D600 camera if anyone is looking. Excellent condition with 79K shutter count. Price: R11500. Have pics if anyone is keen?
  7. These please Oom! http://www.cwcycles.co.za/product/shimano-slx-rdm-675-plus-10-spd-rear-derailer http://www.cwcycles.co.za/product/shimano-xt-10-spd-chain-hg95
  8. Riding further is mostly in the mind in my opinion. A lot of beginners underestimate how far they can go. I'm not saying go out and ride 80km. But if you push yourself 10km further on your next ride then you'll set a precedent. Once you know you have set that bar, your next ride will be to go further then that. Diet and nutrition all play a part yes, but you've got to have the will to push yourself.
  9. Personally I think a 2L camelbak and two bottles is enough liquid to last you a couple rides. Don't make the mistake of taking in too many calories (game/powerade and energy bars). You not signing up for an everest climb. Anything under two hours and you should be just on water. Take an energy bar with just in case you do bonk (not sure of your fitness level), but you should be fine.
  10. What a fantastic event! The singletrack this year was sublime and well cleaned up- super flowing. The inclusion of all the bridges made a big difference. I unfortunately buckled my front wheel 30km in, but still rode the remainder 30km with severe tyre rub as I was having such a great time. Congratulations to the organizers!
  11. Nothing against Chinese carbon guys but I'd prefer to buy a brand name I know. Different strokes for different folks. Thanks though.
  12. Hi guys I'm in the market looking for a carbon 29inch hardtail frame. Wanting to spend between R5-7K on something relatively new and in good condition. I'm 1.78m tall. Give me a shout if you can help out. Thanks.
  13. @shauninspired I'm into landscapes, longexposures, star trails, sunsets, etc... https://instagram.com/shauninspired/
  14. Can I advertise my services here guys? If not please say so and I'll delete this post. I offer Family, Newborn and Engagement photoshoots at great value for money. Package includes 10 jumbo prints and all the photos on a CD. I'm currently building a Facebook page: Shaun Tarr Photography. It's has a couple photos on it, but still many more to load as I get time. I'm based in Hillcrest, Durban. Location of the photoshoot is up to you. Thanks.
  15. When you next in Durban give me a shout...
  16. I've seen that one in the flesh- a real beauty! I ride the entry level Zaskar (R9000) and find the frame to be nice and stiff in comparison to what I rode before (ironically a Merida).
  17. The better fork would be the deciding factor for me, but you also need to look at your bike and wanna ride it- which one is hotter in your opinion? I ride a GT Zaskar and love the thing- maybe look at the GT range if it appeals to you?
  18. I bought a second hand csixx one here off the hub. Works very well, haven't dropped the chain yet. Used my old 32 chainring and standard RD.
  19. Have a look at Peter Sagan's Cannondale he road PR on- anything is possible. www.cyclingnews.com/features/pro-bike-peter-sagans-cannondale-synapse-hi-mod
  20. Sorry to hijack but I'm looking for a kcnc 680mm flat bar for my mtb in good condition if anyone has. *hijack off*
  21. For R12K you can get a 2014 GT Zaskar Sport. Awesome bike.
  22. Damn good price and weight. Anyone had any experience with them at all? Thanks. http://www.rapide.co.za/pRAPIDE%20R29%2029ER%20WHEELSET/Rapide-R29-29er-Wheelset.aspx#.UtfI7n8aySN
  23. I weigh 64kgs and have owned a set of EA70's for a while. Run them with the GP4000S too. Great wheels and tyres in my opinion. I live in Durban. Ride along Inanda Road out to Camperdown, not the smoothest route anyone will tell you- and they still perfectly true.
  24. From owning a Merida Scultura I have to vote the Merida. Damn such awesome bikes. Highly underrated. Wanna look cool- go Scott, wanna drop other guys on an unassuming bike- go Merida.
