  1. It also depends on which sealant you are using I've ruined a few pairs of bibs with ammonia based sealant in the past
  2. I have a 60mm giant OD2 stem. Send me a PM if you are interested
  3. I've been running the MK4 crests for about 6 months and they seem to be holding up at the moment. All the sets of MK3 crest rims that I had started to crack on the rear by now.
  4. +1 for a wired connection straight to your router or a 5GHz band. The less devices you have running on the 2.4Ghz band around the trainer, the better. The ANT signals are in the 2.4GHz range and it can sometimes cause interference and dropouts with your training devices. Furthermore, Zwift is not very data intensive. You do therefore not need a line with a super high speed but rather a stable connection and a good ping rate. The average data usage for Zwift can range from 50MB to 200Mb per hour
  5. Ikhambi distribution is also in Gateway office park. Can absolutely kit yourself out with the money you save on those killer bike deals 😎
  6. Would love to go and watch in Albstadt but the chances that they will allow any spectators is probably too much of a gamble...
  7. Which model Anthem do you have? Both my Anthem and XTC make use of normal stems like the KCNC flyride and Ritchey WCS 4 axis.
  8. That is correct. You will get 60% off of your qualifying R4000 spend, leaving you with a balance of R1600 + the amount of the watch over and above R4000. Which would then be a grand total of R3099 for the vivoactive 4 from Sportsmans
  9. As nice as it would be to surprise your brother in law with a new bike for Christmas. Is the next hurdle that you need to overcome maybe what bikes are actually available in his size and budget range at the moment? I have been in the market for a few months and many suppliers have told me that I am still going to have to wait a few more before the next containers arrive.
  10. The Fox 34 Step Cast comes in 100-120mm of travel. There are some new 2022 bikes that are running the 100mm travel option on a 34 setup. So depending on which bike you are looking at, I would just confirm the fork travel first.
  11. After looking at the recommended retail prices on the Giant online stores in other countries, they have out priced these bikes. I love my XTC and the Anthem that I just sold but sadly, there's no value for money anymore.
  12. It all depends on the size of your freehub body. If its a standard Shimano freehub, you should be able to go straight through to 10, 11 or 12 speed. Sunrace makes 12 speed cassettes for the standard shimano freehub body and the NX and SX Sram cassettes should be the same too. Moving to a 1x groupset will make things much more simplistic, lighter and easier to maintain The only challenge that you will have when selling the bike a year or two down the line after the upgrade is that you wont get your return on investment. I am experiencing this at the moment. Selling my Anthem that I upgraded to a 1x12 speed Sram GX groupset and a few extra bells and whistles, like carbon bars and seatpost, people want to compare it to other Anthems selling on the platform with stock standard 10 speed groupset that already looks long in the tooth. To the right person its worth the extra buck but to those that dont know what they are looking for, it will be a loss
  13. I had the same problem when I was using my MTB on the Kickr. Running a Sram XD cassette on the wheel and a Sunrace cassette on the Kickr. The cassettes were spaced differently, so the limit screws on the rear derailleur were always out when transitioning between the trainer and outdoor rides.
  14. I use an external HDD case. It holds my multi-tool, bombs, plugs, tyre levers and a whole bunch of other spares. It is rigid enough to get in and out of your jersey pocket and usually just short enough to sit below the pocket elastics, so it doesn't fall out. You can pick them up for like R100.
  15. From what I can see on the RC pro, they changed the paint and switched the race face carbon crank with XTR. The frame is still the same.... But then again, CL jumped the gun on Scott with this one, so there could be something else that I cant see that contributes to the R34k price difference.
  16. I was keen on waiting for the 2021 900 RC pro but after seeing those prices on the CL website for pretty much exactly the same specs as the 2020 model, I think I will be riding my current bike into the ground... This exchange rate is having us.
  17. The stanchion coating on my 2012 fox float has eventually started to go around the one seal. My Lbs told me that the guys from RBC are able to fit new ND Tuned stanchions into the uppers, just as madmarc had mentioned. Looking at about R4k including a service apparently. For now, I am just going down the route of servicing more often until I can decide on new stanchions or a new fork.
  18. Made the jump from Ikon 2.2's to 2.35 on the front and rear about three weeks ago. I wish that I had done it ages ago. My riding is more marathon than anything else, so an Ardent race in the front is still a consideration if you are looking for a bit more grip and arent counting grams.
  19. I placed an order with R2-bike in Jan when I was in Germany. Really great service from them. From what I can make out, it might have been delivered to the wrong person if Mr. Topp had already signed for it. Did you receive the email with all the shipping details when the order was dispatched?
  20. I had the exact same problem on my GX eagle chain towards the end of last year. The chain had hardly seen 1000kms and was always washed and lubed after every ride. The chain wasn't even at 0.5 wear yet. The LBS that I had bought the chain from had closed down two months before the chain snapped and the other bike shops laughed at me when I mentioned a warranty replacement. I had to buy a new chain and I am watching it like a hawk now.
  21. Any chance on the Sunrace 12 speed cassette?
  22. Sunrace 12 speed cassette for standard shimano freehub body. Pretty please https://www.cwcycles.co.za/product/sunrace-12spd-cassette-mz9-11-50
  23. Ive heard that there will be a few different models with Shimano 12 speed spec... I stand to be corrected though.
  24. Does anyone know when the 2020 range will become official?
