  1. Van Aert is a classy lad
  2. All the answers to all things cycling, as well as the future and stability of the sport, all lies in the hands of Lehubland
  3. Interesting
  4. Just commenting for the sake of getting this thread show up in my notifications. It is after all the final destination of true tour winners and team managers and prediction specialists.
  5. I’ve been fortunate to ride my bike over most of S.A. But my bucket list is the Tour of Boknaaipan 3 Tough stages riding Boksburg, Nigel and Brakpan.
  6. I would also be George bitter having been stood down so many times.
  7. But how was he towards you in the peleton during that stage ?
  8. Milk Stout with breakfast before every race. Have been doing it for years, thank me later.
  9. If it’s Neil, he is a good seller.
  10. Eish, sorry man. That one went to a guy in Pretoria.
  11. Another digital afternoon
  12. Nah A fight has to be worth something.
  13. Single dial Boa adjust better than a double Boa shoe.
  14. Bikes are all made in factories with the exact same setups. Groupsets are all the same on all bikes. In other words Sram Apex on a Specialized is not better than Sram Apex on a Titan. The big difference comes in the geometry of a particular bike. The bigger brands spend more money on refining the ride quality of their bikes. With that said, I rode a Silverback Gravel GR for a few years, it was the best bike I ever had (and there have been many across many disciplines) till it was stolen after a break in. I now have the gravel CF. Geometries on these bikes are really dialled in.
  15. If you are keen, I can get you the RC 702’s in white. 45 narrow or wide. Could also possibly do a deal on DMT KR3
  16. Digital Sunday
  17. Unfortunately many “wheelbuilders” as they get labeled as or self profess, do not use a spoke tension meter, and some who do, tend to use some sub par digital tool that’s not even fit for measuring the tightness of the curls on a Boksburg perm.
  18. This ☝🏻
  19. If I ever get a bike in where one of those become spare, I will keep it aside.
  20. The adapter comes supplied with a BB (unfortunately)
  21. Waves today.
  22. I’m gonna go with cross threading previously.
  23. GXP is very flawed in its design. When Truvativ introduced it, the design was groundbreaking, and then Shimano responded with their Hollowtec, to this day trusted and proven. The GXP takes all the load bearing on the non drive side, which wears that bearing prematurely quick. That and the fact that the tolerances on that bearing is not great. The Token BB uses 24 mm ID bearings on both sides and then supply a beautifully machined adapter with very tight tolerances. The insert sits internally and spreads the load across both non and non drive side bearings more evenly.
  24. I’ve never said it has been on the market for decades. Ive been working on bikes for 35 years plus. And it’s a well known fact that the SRAM GXP BB is the worst BB ever to see lighy of day. I often still wonder what they were thinking. No disrespect to what you own, but alas. Trying to give you advice that could benefit you, but it would appear that was a mistake 👍🏼
