  1. I’ve curled up in to fetal position, cried myself to sleep and corrected it when I woke up.
  2. Yaaaaay you got me Flippie πŸ’ͺ🏻πŸ’ͺ🏻πŸ’ͺ🏻πŸ’ͺ🏻
  3. Just look how sculpted that XO crank is.
  4. Perhaps that would clarify it. For me it’s simple. You either want AXS XX or UDH AXS XX (fixed thanks to Flippie) At which point one could argue that the new XO crank is sexier than the XX crank.
  5. Maybe
  6. I think you meant to put β€œnew” in bold.
  7. My logic tells me he would have asked the question around UDH Also assuming he would have a compatible frame.
  8. The OP’s question is about AXS XX1
  9. Assuming you are looking for this ? Available at Craft Cycles Sunninghill.
  10. No, they aren’t weights for balancing and weight, they are eyelets that some manufactures add for extra strength and to prevent nipple wear and contact against the rim surface itself.
  11. Almost everyone has β€œniche requirements” That’s when you sit down with your LBS and you help them understand what your requirements are. As for Rush Sports, they deal with the LBS because the LBS in return supports them. Its also impossible for a LBS to carry every imaginable bearing out there. It becomes difficult to control and it becomes an immensely costly exercise. I needed a 6702 bearing quite urgently for the lockout mechanism on a Fox fork last week. Not common to replace and not a common size at all. A quick look on the B2B showed stock, and Rush with their super effective warehousing system were quick to dispatch, and yes I ordered more than one. Thats how a LBS eventually builds up the stock for the demand they have.
  12. I’m far more irked by the positioning of the levers and hoods.
  13. The school of YouTube mechanics and bike technicians.
  14. A wheel gets trued, side to side movement. One can technically for the purpose of semantics (which the worlds greatest wheelbuilder ever was a big fan of) argue that balancing is getting the hop out. A job I’ve seen many, many an β€œexpert” wheelbuilder fail at.
  15. Let’s look at it like this. Do you have the tools and skill to do it yourself ?
  16. Nice job. Looks really well done. When it comes to wheel building discussions you will often find that you get more experts than actual wheel builders. There is a lot of wheel builders but only a handful of really good ones.
  17. Never ever smoked, never had an issue as a kid. But around 20 years ago I got it for the first time. I used to then ride with a pump. The worst I had was at Rhodes when I passed out at the summit. After a lie down and heavy nosebleed I made my way back downhill to the finish. I did not have my pump on that day, and since then have decided to go without it. From there I simply started listening to my body and made sure to prevent any exertion that causes that burn, which leads to a chronic phlegm build up. I have raced many years and many races with the condition and keep it under control with a cough meds that also help reduce inflammation. For the past 18 months I have been using Synatura. Now I have things fully under control.
  18. Years ago we used to have β€œmoer mekaar” Hub days. So I’m just gonna throw a blanket system out there β€œmost of us have enough fuel reserves from our fattening bodies than what we can really burn up. So all we need to do is cow to sustain our sugar levels to so that we don’t bonk (bonking can be very good, but not whilst riding) Drink enough during the ride, watch your heart rate and don’t be a hero for that 96 th position nobody really cares about. One will quickly learn that we have more than enough reserves to carry us.
  19. Eat a good breakfast. Stay well hydrated and lay off any sugary drinks. Find food straight after the stages, you would want to eat within the first 30 minutes. Don’t go bonkers on carbs. Hydrate and stay off your legs. After the stage get your pants off as soon as you can and get to a shower. You don’t want any bacteria to enter the skin. Keep hydrating, and have a small snack before bedtime. Get up in the morning, stretch and get food. Ride within your comfort zone and don’t exert yourself wanting to impress anyone. Have loads of fun.
  20. Ranger danger today
  21. Don’t here me started on the misuse of β€œsoft-tail”
  22. Strava, where segments mean life or death and being a local legend on a 100 meter segment in Putsonderwater can make you Mayor.
  23. Today was a blue Monday with the FXD again. Keeping it summery for this gloomy weather.
  24. Definitely better. I have seen 2 of these sell on the previously owned market. One on NATO for R 105 k and the other with mesh bracelet for R 112 k It’s a loss, but not like bicycles. With watches, if you are prepared to stick it out, and you bought clever, there is even a bit of money to be made.
  25. They are around R 130 k
