  1. No, just pottering around the lower reaches, wall and river below. Guess would be around 140km for a loop but for much of it you would be quite a distance from the water
  2. Crossing the Orange, taxi and white bakkie interval timing is essential
  3. A three province ride around the Gariep dam wall, a brutalist piece of architecture but beautiful water body
  4. Now that I understand wtf this is pretty on point https://twitter.com/bubbaprog/status/1438194219269689352?s=21
  5. I’m not sure that we can be Friends
  6. Camdeboo National Park, makes a nice change to ride in a park (other than Table Mnt which doesn't count ????) did the 4wd route which turned out to be someone civil engineering skills whatsoever was let loose with a bulldozer, brutal steep ramps and flats like and endless uphill roller coaster. Saw one car the whole day. Views were worth it though. Next time maybe take the road bike and do the Valley of Desolation.
  7. Roughly looking west from 40km east of Graaff Reinet, so no not Compassberg which is north of Nieu-Bethesda? I don't know the geography well enough to tell you what it is though.
  8. Apply some cycling balm to the soul in the Karoo around Graaff Reinet, beautiful big sky country
  9. You're supposed to take the pyrotechnic seeds out of your tomatoes Vetseun, then you can return to wearing delicates ????
  10. +1 on the TransAlp recommendation for anyone looking for similar or harder physical challenges, not only is it way cheaper but also a completely different experience, most South Africans can ride 80% of the Epic for R50/day and really isn't anything that new to them. TransAlps takes you through bits of Germany/Austria/Italy we would never normally get to on our own, on climbs/downhills you did not believe could last that long. three times though....hmmm ????
  11. Real shame he didn’t get that!
