  1. See there is a dutch rider with ?4 spoke carbon wheels, giving me flash backs to the disc wheel and snow goggles someone posted the other day
  2. If run like normal XC then yes, often before they are lapped, the are constantly culling slower riders from the back each lap to stop congestion in bottlenecks by slower riders.
  3. Should have got some of those Sanparks guys driving, they would have got in close ???? but seriously was this another own goal by SA admin?
  4. Yeah it’s hard to believe they really didn’t (have the ability to) know, but it made for great racing. What a ride !
  5. If you have clamps, time and patience you can go a long way with a 2.5m aluminum straight edge which will cost a few hundred and a standard circular saw running along/up against it with an offset
  6. I think those are their keys in the bowl ????
  7. Bryde's whales, like the unholy offspring of an egg eater and a submarine. There are lots of humpback around but they are just passing through on their own independent migration, they dont feed on the sardines. Had them within 5m of the boat but generally don't hang around when your in the water.
  8. We used to breed and work them when I was a kid, phenomenal dogs, but "busy" like most working dogs if not worked. They can trot incredible distances, keeping up with us on long rides, often rotating legs for a rest and running on 3. The last one perfected causing *** with warthogs then leading them back full charge to my mother on walks ???? Had some of the red roan colour variation as well.
  9. Diving the sardine run on the Wild Coast last week, an awesome and humbling experience
  10. I want one of these vices! Needs to go to the toolbox thread
  11. What’s wrong with the traditional “Hi Granny and Grandpa” ?
  12. Had some Kiaat where the grain ran at right angles almost to the cut and structurally hopeless but beautifully figured. The machine planing had also taken huge chunks out because of the grain variation. So glued them to a substrate and split them on the table saw, made some pine frames and much sanding later got a couple of nice side tables out of them.
