  1. That's good news. The more the better for us. There is also Thaba Trails and Rietvlei close by. 15 mins down the drag towards Alberton.
  2. Must agree, would love the Vipa to do well, but it need to prove itself.
  3. We need cheese with all the "wine" ing going on here.
  4. I was not posting a reply to your post. But hey mommy is calling. Need to get to bed. Lots of practice to ride rocks this weekend. I need all my sleep.
  5. Oh and retail on the 2014 ........... 57k
  6. Can do, but s-works only. Comes as a frame, fork and seat post.
  7. I have an Epic FSR and the Stumpjumper FSR. If you are looking to compare something to the SC I would look the SJ way. More relaxed geometry and more sus travel. Really cool bike and rides like silk. Having said that I'm looking at the SC too. Just something about them.
  8. What are the differences between tallboy 1 and 2? Also what price are we looking at with XT
  9. Step aside Chuck Norris, we have a new tough guy in the house. Not only that, it would seem that the two gents who did us proud in the TDF are somehow inferior to him because they ride skinny wheels and don't ride down the rocky side of mountains all day. We all love the sport dude, take it easy.
  10. Very nice Peter......
  11. I agree, this series is advertised as a fun loving family event. I get that there are super capable mtb'ers out there and that you may love this kind of thing. I also get that you can get off and walk. But then it is no longer a ride but more a hike right. If you want to be ultra technical, ride a trail, or cross country, but races for the masses should not be that harsh. I am certain that only 10% of those that rode yesterday could ride the whole marathon. Not what I would call catering for your demographic. Will I be there next year? Hell yeah. But for now ill just sit back and watch the backlash.
  12. Mooi man
  13. Rather walk bro
  14. Sorry dude, but this one is on you. Had you phoned the importer and they had sent you to Boksburg after calling them, different story. But to ask another shop to sort out your issues after not supporting them in the first place is just plain cheeky.
  15. That is awesome. Makes it real difficult to go to work instead of going riding
  16. Agreed. More than likely just ran out of fuel.
  17. I had the same and found changing to 5 meals a day helped. Specially breakfast. Also helped the shed a few kgs.
  18. I hope your right. I did the monster, but it was not pretty. Don't mind the challenge but have just come off a winter break so I don't think I'm as fit as I was then.
  19. oh, so more walking downhill then
  20. ok guys, is this race worse than the magalies monster or not??
  21. Thing is dude, we all have our brands so you are never going to get a entirely honest answer. like I said you are going to upgrade later so don't stress too much. you need to follow your heart. get the best priced duel sus with the best components. that's my advice. let me tell you what happened to me, I bought a 15k bike cos I thought people are mad to pay 40k. six months later after the bug bit and I knew I was going to be riding for life, I spent 50k on a bike. it was like driving a Cadillac. the difference was unbelievable. and if you haven't noticed yet, bikes have no resale, so if you are certain that you will continue with the sport go big first time round. if your not certain buy a cheepo so you don't loose too much when you do upgrade.
  22. Oh, and trust me, once this bug bites, you are going to upgrade. I can give you letter in brail for that.
  23. If your not going to go off road much I would not bother with a full sus. Take the HT and buy some kit with the change.
  24. ?
  25. Cos aren't they there to test you.
